Does anyone else need any more evidence games are managed by the NFL towards certain outcomes?

The Tampa/Carolina game was clearly going to be managed towards a Tampa victory due to giving a ratings boost to the Falcons/Saints game and keeping a poor ratings Panthers team out of the playoffs. The refereeing has been consistent with what I expected and I think it would be worth taking stock that the NFL is an entertainment business. They have no legal obligation to provide fair outcomes. 

I warned everyone here how much worse it has gotten since sports betting apps became the norm, and here we are.

I think the whole discussion about games being rigged or a script or anything like that is just stupid.

Refs just suck, it's not that hard to understand, they suck in all sports at all levels and make stupid mistakes.

I mean that has to be Bryce or Rico with the wrong play or just Rico going rogue right? No way you call a flea flicker in the redzone.  It’s a deep ball trick play

I think you are underestimating how much money the refs could be making if they bet on their own games.

I think you're underestimating how easily a ref can ensure a game ends up one way or the other in the NFL, it's not the NBA where a ref calls a foul and it's always a foul no matter what, in the NFL they can get overruled by other refs.

You'd have to be pretty dumb to be an NFL ref and put a substantial amount of money on the outcome of your game and hoping/expecting to be able to dictate the result.

Not to mention that most NFL refs are usually lawyers or something else similar to where they already make a really good living on top of their good NFL ref salary as well.

I dunno man if they're this bad at their job, it feels deliberate. The stuff they called or didn't call this game was wild.

I don't believe it's a massive conspiracy but it sure seems like something is up.

One of the most obviously controlled, managed by the NFL games I have ever seen in my life. This one was too obvious. They didn’t even TRY to hide it. The Panthers are not even a good team, but the refs firmly controlled this outcome exactly how it was needed. The Panthers covered the spread, and the preferred winner was nudged to victory. It makes me not interested in being a fan of a specific team anymore. Football is still entertaining but the way the spreads and odds are controlled and the NFL manages these games, it’s not fun to watch. I knew before the game was played it would be a 1-2 point loss and here we are. And I’m sick of watching my favorite team play rigged games.
