Might as well make the playoffs no matter how...Saints winning the division next year.  They've found a QB.

Thats a bit of a leap there....  an offseason of tape has stopped many a promising player

Anyone rooting AGAINST the Panthers making the playoffs needs to reevaluate their status as a fan of this team.

There's no good reason not to want to win a division title at this point. We're not protecting a top-5 draft pick here. We have nothing to gain by not making the playoffs.

Anyone rooting for the Saints is just a miserable excuse for a fan who just wants something to bitch and moan about.

I was rooting for the panthers to make the playoffs by winning today.

Me, too. But they lost. Now they can still get in with a Saints loss. Why would any fan root against their team making the playoffs?

I’m honestly rooting for the Panthers because I cannot help it, no matter how much they have disappointed me my entire life.

That being said, I can see the argument for fans not wanting to hear about their LOSING team making the playoffs, and that losing team getting beat by the 49ers or Seahawks by 40 points, while also losing draft position and possibly extending the shitty head coach and shitty QB because of a perceived milestone of development in getting a playoff berth.

Again, I will continue to root for the Panthers and the thought of beating SF gives me a quarter chub so it’s all worth it, but I definitely see the argument there to be made.

I mean this ^^^^ I wanted the panthers to show up and show us something today so I coild delude myself into thinking we could pull off an upset next week, but as always this team folded like a wet paper towel....  lots of reasons not wanting to see them embarrassed again next week, not wanting a first place schedule next year, i don't want a backdoor playoff "appearance" because make no mistake thats all it would be.. . To lead to Cannales and Young extensions.

    • I think i like the Oregon Safety better
    • Do you see the vision?  As of now our Carolina Panthers don’t have an identity. We are not an offensive powerhouse and on defense we only started getting it together towards the end of the year last year. In my opinion we are much closer to having an incredible defense that scares the daylights out of people. I say the answer is simple and we fully commit to that possible identity.    Emmanuel McNeil Warren (E man)  This guy is like a shark lurking around ready to attack anyone. Fearless. He is easily a top 20 talent in my eyes, and the only reason he isn’t more talked about is because he’s from Toledo. Do your due diligence as panther fans and watch his tape I beg you. Once you’re done watching let me ask you this, if you dropped E - Man into the strong safety spot on the Buckeyes, he isn’t being talked about as one of the best prospects we’ve seen in some time given the skill set you see with this guy? I think so. Put his name on the card and turn it in at 19.    Jacob Rodriguez  High effort, High energy, High IQ guy that flies around the field. We all know Jacob at this point. My only concern is he’s a little bit too good and I’m not sure he makes it to us at our pick in the second. With the additions of Jacob and E- Man I think our defense goes to top 5 in the league. We would have a duo of linebackers that rival anything we’ve had in our past. I’m not a GM so I don’t know what the possible answer could be, but if there’s a way we can comfortably trade up in the second to secure this guy I think we find a way to do it.    Spend the rest of our picks fixing the O - line.    Thoughts Panthers fans? Who’s the ideal duo for yall?
    • OL is arguably much more important to the success of a young QB. (Or any QB)
