Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History

This offense lacks playmakers in the worst way

We’ll run a TE screen to freaking Mitchell Evans. Neither running back can make anyone miss after a catch that’s if they can even catch it to begin with.

After 2 years of watching Canales’ offense the Jonathon Brooks pick makes a lot more sense. Obviously he’ll be gone when we pick in the draft but there’s a real argument to be made for drafting Love

And lastly we need a true deep threat at WR. What the Dolphins gave Tua is what the Panthers should’ve given Young

you are partially right.  We lack the key playmaker.  It's the QB.  Instead you fixate on why everyone can't lift up the guy who is supposed to lift them up.

RBs would make more guys miss if Bryce put the ball on them at the right time.  Those get pointed out often live during the game.  But he is late with most things.  So the advantageous windows close and they become dump offs.  Bryce is part of why the screen game never sets up right.

QBs that want to attack downfield do.  QBs that need Tyreek Hill.....aren't QBs that attack downfield.  See Jake.  You could give Jake Delhomme one big body possession WR.  He was a downfield attacking QB.  And so he would go to town downfield with just Moose as his WR.  We saw that play out as well.  And John Fox wasn't scheming up throws for Jake downfield.  He was mostly begging Jake to please be safe lol.

Right on cue. Thinks Herbert is overrated but Bryce is good just lacks weapons. Cam Ward outplayed Bryce with no one on his team and an interim coach. What are we doing here?

Perfect example of my hypothesis that almost no one on here watches non panthers games. Every single Herbert rep this year was like this

Herbert has been phenomenal with what he’s had to deal with. Could you imagine Bryce on that roster this year??

All that guy has is blaming everyone on down to the waterboy when the Panthers lose and Bryce falters and telling others they don't know football or they aren't real fans. The funny thing is we used to have contentious back and forth arguments like this over Cam Newton. But even though Cam's accuracy was sometimes iffy you never doubted the sheer talent he displayed and he showed he was plenty capable of elevating the pieces around him from time to time if need be. We do not have that at all here. In fact everything has to go perfect on our end and the other team has to make multiple mistakes just for us to win close games with Bryce Young. That is the reality as he enters year 4. These people who want to defend him don't have to like it. But firing off stupid accusations and labels onto others is foolishness for 3 years ago not today. It's time to live in the now. And right now Bryce Young needs to unequivocally shīt or get off the pot. And with us hosting a home playoff game for the first time in a decade it is absolutely now or never. No more excuses.

"the bryce needs more help" take is actually really comical if you think about it

It’s not just this board, prominent beat writers/reporters, even some for this team, constantly defend him and always have something to say when he has a decent “Bryce game”. BUT when he passes for under 100 yards….crickets.

    • A team should do everything they can to prop up their investment in a QB regardless of who it is.
    • I am not wanting to be too judgemental of Morgan over his first draft given the circumstances.  People don’t like my rationale but you know, I don’t so much like theirs either.  I was adamantly against drafting Bryce and very resentful over the extreme (imo) measures taken to prop him up. I feel like Dan got caught in that trap with demands or conditions placed on him to help out the QB and the new Offensive minded head coach.  And my biased opinion is that it was still all Bryce centric. Micro managed and solely focused on making him a viable player after his first disastrous season. Mandated to help the offense in that draft.  I feel like my speculation is reasonable given the climate and situation, and it includes the reasons we didn’t take a C, the reasons we overdrafted a RB and that particular WR. It was totally need based. Perceived needs. All to maximize Bryce.    And if it were me, and I wanted the GM slot of my team that I came up with, I would be willing to accede to the agenda that I feel was in place. The goals he had to meet.  It is pretty simple, just put Bryce’s needs at the center of everything that was done and work your way through it.  I have no idea or inside info, and people have mocked my opinion for it but that is what it is, it still makes sense to me.
