Bryce Young is the worst QB in Panthers History

Bryce is a decent bridge Qb. If we got him in the second or third round, I doubt he would have had a leash he has had. There really isn't a lot of options,  but I really would like to see competition be brought in.

But,  beating up on him page after page is a little much.

We have an entire page dedicated to bryce chat but it’s not reasonable to restrict it since replacing him the easiest and most obvious move the team can make if they’re serious about improving next season and seeing if Canales can actually coach.

my other forum also has a bryce thread, but without the delusional defenders it’s just people rightly shitting on him and trying to figure out why the national media gives him the leash they do unlike say Caleb.

also it has its own bryce smiley

Herbert would be a great move to bring in to challenge Andy Dalton to carry Bryce's penis meat around (it hurts his little back)

unlike bryce who there are starting to be some whispers about, Justin dates a smoke show and that girl ain’t living in Charlotte.

like imagine this girl walking into a Harris teeter or whatever

I have a hard time believing this having watched the game. Like maybe if we’re including him rolling out behind the LOS

PFF doing what they were originally made for and pumping up the pats by shitting on other parts of the same team for weird reasons.

It amuses me seeing folks post stills of Bryce's offensive line as if the Panthers didn't go out and invest steep resources in the unit to the detriment of the rest of the roster after his rookie season following endless whailing about protecting him. These are also the same folks who will deflect to throwing anyone under the bus when Bryce fails.

Highest salary cap % investment to the OL.

FYI the Rams are 11th and the Chargers are 16th in this list.

We need to move on soon and just use Bryce as a bridge to find our next guy. I'd like to see how this offense works with Canales hand picking his own guy. Bryce holds this offense back a lot considering you draft the first pick to carry your team and be your best player. We invested heavily for Bryce and need everything to go right just to have him look like a solid game manager sometimes.

When he plays well he can look decent or mid, but when he plays bad he looks like a bottom 5 qb in league (backups included). It's not worth it, especially if we need to pay him soon, which means we have to skimp all over the roster. If the defenses don't hand it to us on a silver platter Atlanta style then we struggle big time. Defenses don't respect the offense at all. With Cam we could have the worst offensive talent and I'd still think we had a shot in any game we played. If Bryce is facing a 3rd and 10 I pretty much wave the white flag and don't think we can make that first down.

    • Nijman is actually one of the better free agent left tackles available in free agency and he will get a chance to start next year. He will get a raise and likely be re-signed. Christensen backs him up and they should sign another veteran tackle and/or draft a 2nd or 3rd round tackle as well. Zavala and Corbett need to go so they should also draft a guard. I’ve suggested they should trade down in the first round to accumulate more picks for depth they are going to need a lot of going forward.
    • Princely overall PFF was 47 compared to Scourton’s 68.   Not everything shows  up in the stats.
    • If you account for the discrepancy in snap counts, then Princely and Scourton actually had pretty similar production. Scourton: 717 snaps (68%) 47 tackles (7 TFL) 5 sacks 15 pressures 1 FF Princely: 222 snaps (22%)  24 tackles (2 TFL) 1.5 sacks 5 pressures 1 FF, 1 FR I think Scourton was simply given more opportunities to flash.  Then it goes to a more abstract argument of why Princely was not given more playing time.  But then we'd be blindly giving credence to the same guy who not only drafted DJ Johnson, but was happy to waste a roster spot and snaps on the guy for 2 seasons and some change.
