Who does the NFL want to win today?

Since it now couldn’t be more obvious that this poo is predetermined and rigged  by the refs/New York, who does the NFL want to win today? 
 

New Orleans would be the most obvious answer since they tried so hard to make sure Tampa won yesterday.

On the other hand, all the “controversy” talk dies if Atlanta wins and Carolina makes the playoffs anyway. 
 

Third option is they just don’t care, they only wanted a terrible game to mean something just to drive up viewership. In this case the officiating will be fine and whoever wins will win.  
 

Either way I think I’m about done spending so much time and effort on something as corrupt as this entertainment production.

The idea the League cares about which turd floats in the the toilet bowl known as the NFCS is laughable.  If they were going to rig any game, it would be the Steerlers/Ravens.   Rogers and Lamar/Tomlin and Harbaugh.  I'm not sure which story line the NFL would prefer, but at least that contest is rigging worthy.

Last Monday 91% of ML bets were placed on Rams. 2 of the top 5 bets placed this weekend were Bucs -3 and people taking the over

Bucs win by 2 and the under hits. Weird

The legit might not give a crap who gets in now. They got their viewership up for today. I’d have to imagine there’s a crap load of futures on the Bucs though. Prior to season that was an easy bet. I put on Bucs div champs this week.

The NFL is what it is at this point. It’s obvious.

Exactly this…the NFL wanted the crappy game that no one would watch today to be relevant. Now all Panthers/Bucs/Falcons/Saints fans are watching…and more bets on this game I would assume.

In all honesty, Id say I wouldnt be surprised if the NFL rigs toward atlanta to try to get away from the backlash theyve gotten for the obvious rigging.  On the flipside, tyler fug is the new rookie golden dick so could see either.

Yep it had nothing to do with making sure Tampa got in over Carolina

This was ALL about viewership. If it was about Tampa they’d have kept this game on Sunday and never let it get close. No one would be talking about any of these calls if they kept this game on Sunday. 

The NFL doesn’t even care to hide it anymore. Yesterday was total proof of that. Hell they might even want Carolina to get in now so people now change the narrative to “they deserve to be in” or have people stop talking about the officiating 

Regardless, the NFL can do what they did yesterday and know they’re not losing any fans. So it really doesn’t matter how obvious they make it

I'm just relieved they don't have a shot at Mendoza.  While they were lingering in the top 5 for a while, I was worried.  Shough will come back down to Earth next year.  Opposing teams will get an idea of how he plays his game and how the Saints use him.  He's going to be good, but I don't think anything really special.

I would say that's a very premature prediction. The only real competition we have for worst roster in the NFC South is New Orleans. Most of their best/core players are nearing retirement. Ages are at the start of next season.

Kamara: 31

Hill: 36

Davis: 37

Jordan: 37

 

They aren't devoid of young talent but they are still in a very transitional phase. If Shough pans out, that will definitely help them a ton but let's not forget they were net sellers at the trade deadline. They are in a rebuilding phase, not a "division leading" phase.

Saints have excelled at kicking the can down the road, but that roster is aging out never the less. Even their rookie qb is 26 years old. They may not be the up and coming team some think they are, but that doesn't mean they will not be competitive.

The thing to watch is how they progress as their locker room leaders age out and the very, very young head coach attempts this reset. It's possible they can supercharge their rebuild and have it condensed to a season or two but it's also just as possible it goes the other way and they sink to Panthers level.

It’s odd that the penalties all came at a time where the over might have still been in doubt.  But we’ve been getting screwed for weeks by the refs. Got Alex Moore 2 of the final 4 games and Brad Allen was assigned to yesterday’s game. I think they want the Bucs in the playoffs and fully expect the Saints to win today.
