Yeah, I don't believe the Tepper-not-involved-anymore line. He has just learned to operate a bit more discreetly and not throw drinks on people.

Dipshits really lap up him throwing his couch change at infusion centers.

I don’t know how much I’d count on skattaboo playing again. Like yeah it’s just a broken bone but his feet were pointing at 12 and 6, respectably.

I think that will be a far less serious injury than he ultimately gets in his NFL career.

i did a mock draft and Beck was available in round 4 which I took.  So maybe it's possible.

If he leads Miami to a national championship his stock will rise.

That would be an ideal outcome. Grabbing beck in the 4th.

oh my god no Carson Beck sucks ass. There's a reason he got run out of Georgia. Kid gets dumber the more bad tattoos he gets. He's also a bigger bitch than Bryce.

Comedy option Diego Pavia. They'd never draft him because he absolutely would win the job out of training camp and they'd have to start Bryce anyway to save face

Canales is clearly tied to Bryce at this point.  I think that's hard to deny.   I would say Morgan now is as well.

I don't think Tepper is an anything guy.  He is a get me winning team guy.  And now he is simply stuck where he knows reasonable time is now PR for his future hires.

and I think Tepper did what every single owner would do with Bryce.  I think the move to #1 was Tepper.    He listened to the people he hired to do the job and they sold him on Bryce.  So Bryce it was.  He listened to the GM office.

So he's concerned about how it looks to future hires but he's going to fire everyone if the player he picked is no good? Doesn't make sense to me. Would take a king's ransom to get anyone to come here.

Obviously Bryce is a big part of it but say he stinks it up next year. The runway for Morgan and Canales is longer because they've had more success in less time than Young has.

Pavia is basically significantly less talented and much smaller Sam Darnold. He has even less QB experience than Darnold had.

He is likely a long term developmental prospect and not really someone that could be relied on to be a quality #2 QB. He would be great as a #3 or PS QB to develop.

    • In May of 2026, it looks like a challenging schedule...and it probably is.  I rarely listen to the "strength of schedule" conversations that light up social media this time of year. Each year teams improve and decline. I think there's chunks of the year we need to take care of business and the week 5 bye is not desired.  I do think if we don't hit the bye week at 3-1, it's going to be a major uphill battle given the schedule in front of us. This season falls on three people, regardless of schedule strength: Canales, Bryce, Evero.  Canales: Finally can truly coach all aspects of the team and not focus with gameday prep for OC duties anymore. He drives the bus and needs to get these guys in position to win each week. There's no way vets come in and put it on the line every week to watch our QB sh!t the bed (See: SF game last year). Bryce: Despite everyone's obsession with thinking Bryce is a guaranteed extension, I think this year will truly be his "prove it" year. If he comes out the way he has the past three years, I really don't see how vets and coaches can continue to put him under center long-term. He might play out that fifth year as the starter, but I think next offseason his long-term replacement is found. I also think there's no excuses with the weapons and commitment we've made on offense to insulate him with every possible weapon.  Evero: Best personnel he's had since he's been here...no excuses. Figure out how to blitz effectively. Figure out how to use CBs whose strengths are press/man. Figure out how to utilize a talented front-7 to get the hell of the field. Outside of FS and maybe....maybe ILB, there are few weaknesses on this unit.
    • Canales can never get his teams ready in the first week of the season so far. Hope that changes or Ben Johnson is going to take his azz to school.
