So easier to fabricate?

In a word, yes, if that's the way you look at it. Any time you start adjusting based on opponents, things get even murkier.

Which one of these QBs would you not immediately trade Bryce for if given the chance? how about that spin? Not including Rodgers of course.

Are we including their contracts? Haha. If so I'd add Lawrence and maaaaaybe Herbert to the list I wouldn't trade for (I'd probably still take Herbert lol).

I was happy with Bryce's performance and all but the op seems to think we should read more into it than I think we need to.

/glances at season stats

I know... I'm curious what exactly the OP thinks this means. He had a decent game, as did a number of quarterbacks.  Not all of them won their games, heh.  Ultimately his season was pretty bad lol

These stats don't mean anything. It doesn't correlate to winning the actual football game at all. Bryce played better than Caleb Williams according to stats but Willams won. Jordan Love played better than Bryce but lost. Everyone is so focused that one player makes the whole team. Yes the QB is the most important position, but there are 21 other guys who influence the game too.

The first 6 games of the season had TMac with 0 NFL experience and XL with his 54% catch rate as the number 1 and 2 receivers. They combined for 46/82 catches (56.1%), 539 yards (11.72 yds /rec ) and Young had 11 TDs and 8 TOs.

The last 6 games had a more experienced TMac and Coker as the number 1 and 2 receivers and they combined for 49/69 catches (71 %), 732 yards (14.94 yds/rec) and Young had 11 TD’s and only 3 TO’s.

Some people around here believe a QBs’ performance works in a vacuum. It doesn’t.

No doubt a lot of Young’s inconsistencies are his own fault but he has shown improvement since Coker returned and started getting more playing time. That with the fact TMac will have an entire year of experience means there should be a lot more games like Saturdays’ next year.

The Bryce curve in action. They root for the lil fella so hard.

It isn’t that he didn’t play well, that just really seems inflated compared to some of these others.

QBR is really indeed a weird metric.

Josh Allen's MVP season, his Pro Football Reference Approximate Value was 20 and they gave high QBR of 74.8 rating.

Cam Newton's MVP season, his Pro Football Reference Approximate Value was 21 and they gave him QBR of 61.4 rating.

You guys understand that if we argue that the stat is wonky, worthless, non reality reflecting, anything like that, we are doing it because we hate Bryce.  Because we are haters, liars, biased, casuals, all kinds of stuff you don’t want to be called.

I have never understood some of these stats. They don’t consistently reflect what I have watched.

That graph with the 3rd down efficiency, absolutely lines up with what I saw this season, for example. This QB rating, the PFF stuff, not so much.  And certainly those non scientific grades from ESPN personalities.

    • You’re playing madden we’re talking real football stuff…. He does have you seen his special on internet he def thinks he’s getting paid
    • Without the team having an identity kinda hard to predict what they value.  They either are really trying to build a balanced team, or preparing for another swing at qb if Bryce doesn’t pan out. Seems like we value the o line but the $ spent there has been underwhelming besides Lewis, you could say it’s because of injuries but still hasn’t been worth the investment. as already stated, the whole handling of Bryce young as a whole has been ass backwards, we spent the years we’re supposed to take advantage of having a qb with a lower cap hit, building the team up to be adequate. now It appears, key word appears, the saints have done it correctly, which is painful to even think about. Regardless, I hope the front office has paid attention to qb contracts recently, such as Tua, Kyler, Daniel jones(pre colts) and don’t settle for subpar qb play at franchise qb rates
    • This is the flaw in your logic.  Cutting 3 of our best players will somehow move us from whatever we are to "compete". Even the most Young super fans are not predicting a ceiling above top 10-12, and that will not nearly cut it.  Someone will need to break the log jam of QBs getting nothing or North of 50. Our qb is at best a middle ground, lets hope it will be us that also manage to pay the worth at about 100 over 3 years.  And before you jump me, yes that is only of he improves.
