We’re about to learn a lot about Demeco Ryans

I agree. This is a no brainer. This game is still in reach...but not with CJ. You are KILLING your defense with this poo.

Agreed. It's a tough spot for any coach but you gotta look into your guys eyes and know if they are gonna be able to do it. Right now, how is that a "yes?"

Agreed, but doesn't change the fact he is wreckless with the ball. I'm not knocking him for taking sacks or being pressured into bad throws by Houston.  They do that to everyone.

Love the kid for how good he was at Carolina, despite incompetent coaching, so I'm pulling for him.

But he's got to protect the football better.

I agree. He got a lot of hype for being an MVP candidate this year so I don't think he changes it until it becomes an issue. It's very correctable.

Ultimately CJ Stroud is a bust it's the Texans problems. Although it must be pointed out they are one of the bottom 5 or so teams in salary cap dedicated to the OL.

But the folks doing victory laps dancing on the grave of his career while carrying water for Bryce at every turn cannot be taken seriously.

Stroud has played as many games as Bryce Young but he peaked early. He had one of the better rookie seasons in awhile.

Bryce Young has played in 46 games and honestly other than one record setting game against the Falcons in a dome has never looked as good as Stroud did as a rookie over the course of a single season. It's always one step forward followed by two steps back. And we are certainly at the crossroads where the days of hitting the reset button every time Bryce has a marginally better performance after shitting the bed entirely the week before because the guy is set to get $26.5 million guaranteed. Perspective is important here.

This same defense  made us look like straight cheeks! Nico being out definitely  doesn't help, no running game and oline is ranked with the chargers. I didn't see him doing this bad but I honestly can say I'm not too surprised via the circumstances.

I agree with the argument to keep him out there.  Let him be the guy or not.

Nah, it's about winning the game. Not proving or disproving being "the guy."

He has answered that call through 6 quarters of football with 5 fumbles(2 lost) and 5 INT's.

The question has been answered. He is not the guy.

Yea I just think if you bench him his career as a Texan is probably over.  Are the odds of Mills winning the game any higher?

So it turns out we traded the farm for the #1 pick in a draft with no franchise quarterbacks.

All thanks to David Tepper. Almost nobody here even entertained the thought of moving to #1 before he pushed for it so hard and when we heard what we gave up it was a gut punch. We didn't need to do it. And everything we have done since has been about justifying it instead of building out the whole roster.

Half their defense are free agents after this year. You just had thirty minutes to see what he can do. The afc is wide open.

Yeah, you never count on this window being open again. This ain't about CJ Stroud, it's about the Houston Texans.

Even Bryce got the hook for better play than this in our shitbox organization with a crowd of idiots in charge. And that wasn't in a playoff game with an AFC championship and likely Super Bowl appearance at the end of all this.

It is absolute insanity to keep attempting this.

I mean I'm pretty sure Bryce wouldn't even attempt a pass beyond the los and Stroud is being just manhandled back there. Bryce is more evasive but he'd be getting wrecked, and he can't really deliver the balls into tight spaces the way Stroud can. And these receivers are fuging garbage lol

You do remember we played them right. Bryce had 1 TD and 0 INTS with an 84 rating. And that was with TMac with his total of 4 NFL starts, Tremayne who was brought in from someones practice squad and XL with his 50% catch rate - no Coker.
