big time throws, has that been objectively defined or still just a made up stat?

It’s out there to look up. There is a definition. It is so convoluted and broad I got frustrated before I could finish it.  It just seemed wrong to me.
I think the words they choose for the names of these stats are the bigger problem than the stat itself. Because there were things in that definition that I thought to myself “how is that big time?”

yes. I never paid much attention to these stats until people started using them to tell me how great Bryce is.
When I have watched every snap he ever took and look at video during the week, and can objectively see how ‘great’ he is, what his throws look like, the whole thing.

The stats criteria is just misleading to faulty when you look at it. That doesn’t reflect on Bryce, I can’t see how it does. It is directed at the criteria being used to evaluate him. And others.

No joke, the game casts now call a 16 yard TD a deep pass - I can only surmise it is because it went 4 yards deep in the end zone making it a 20 yard throw.

Who among us, all being likely lifelong football fans, grew up picturing a 16 yard TD pass as a deep ball? Anybody?
It is just not a helpful stat, it is absurd.

There is no stat for 30 yard throws. Nor for 40. And so on. And they are generally more demanding throws. Say your QB nailed 4 35 yard throws in a game and my QB nailed 4 20s. Should they be rated equally as deep passers off of that? Tell me my guy is has the best rate on 20-30 yard throws instead. Break it down.

To call 20 yards and everything past that the same thing? Why would you do that? I mean, calling a 20 yard pass a deep ball, is like calling Bryce tall.

I've only ever considered it possible for 1, maybe 2 if pinned inside the 10, deep balls per drive. The play is just too big. A new deep ball can be completed in under 2.5 seconds. That just isn't right.

If y’all can’t see PFF’s angle with these Bryce grades…they did the same where based on their grades last year, Geno Smith was better than Patrick Mahomes lol lemme check to see if Geno Smith is in the top 5 for this stat

Anytime any NFL analyst or stat company has something positive to say about Bryce it’s some secret agenda that they are pushing according to the mouth breathers on this forum.

Do you think Bryce throws the best deepball in the nfl?  Simple question

You're delusional. I'm the biggest Howell cheerleader here and all of us are just saying to bring him in because A) he'd be dirt cheap and B) he has more talent than Bryce. That's it, that's all.

He will also throw about 24 bone headed picks

This is the second, at least, comment in here that is personally attacking people who criticize Young. Calling us things. Questioning our intelligence.
The other one was “miserable losers”, think.

It is telling, that I don’t see any from the Bryce doubters insulting your intellect or character. Speaks for itself.

Which saves me the trouble of insulting you.

While you may have a valid point you’re playing the victim card so hard it’s hard not to laugh

You think someone being unable to make an argument that can stand with out deprecating those making the counter argument, makes a person a victim?
Interesting.

BY is not a starting QB in the NFL anyone who disagrees with that is either A. Doesn't no poo about football or B. Doesn't watch any Panthers football.

His stats are pathetic, his play mostly is pathetic.

Get competition in here at QB and shut up all the BY supporters for once. It's getting god damn ridiculous at this point

Dude, this is a post about Bryce. Everything has been said. If you don’t want to see the same stuff over and over stop coming on Bryce topics. Just because it is repeated doesn’t make what he said any less true.
Bryce should not be the definitive starter because he has not earned it. That is true. We need actual competition for him to is off-season. That is also true.

I don't disagree with you and didn't in my original post. I said that at this moment, before the draft, before any kind of free agency and with literally no one on that bench beside him, Bryce is the starting QB.

Doesn't matter earned, owed, promised or pinky-sworn. Right now, it's his job.

But, going back to the original statement that you'd replied to, yeah, it gets old to hear the same takes even in light of new information. Stephen Wright used to have a joke about how he drove across the country but only had one cassette tape to listen to the whole way, but he couldn't remember what it was. We're kind of at this stage.
