I asked chat GPT about the injury if you scroll back a few posts and posted the results but it said that PCL long-term is better there should be no lingering effects so it shouldn't have a long-term effect on his career so I don't think you should look at it as he won't be the same player it's much more preferred over having an ACL injury which does change your long-term trajectory so I think if he's only going to miss maybe half the season or less you're better off getting a veteran or drafting a guy later to feel that stopgap until he returns to full form

Also believe it or not the recovery time for PCL is shorter than an ACL tear so give me that nine times out of 10. Looking at the time frame I think he starts to season on the PUP list but after that he should be a go

That's because PCL stands for posterior cruciate ligament. A patellar tendon is the actual tendon that connects the kneecap to the shinbone. Ickey ruptured his patellar tendon, not a torn PCL. Hence why the comparison of a torn PCL and ACL is not relevant to Ickey's situation.

Thank you. I asked he just came back with more of the same.

I think Jones becomes a cat casualty but by all means I love goldday I have him and Rodriguez's second round targets in my eyes first round I'm swinging for the fences on talent

He could, but we can't replace him (as a cap casualty) with what we'd save.  image.thumb.png.8078736a61e6301aee4bf6d38a70fd74.png

I mean, saving $4.75m is not worth losing a starting edge, especially if we let Wonnum go (we will, as you know).  I think we keep jones and Scourton as starters--hopefully, Princely will come on stronger in 2026.

I think you should read articles written by humans about patellar tendon injury recovery time for NFL players and not rely on Chatgpt searches for the wrong thing.

Humans are flawed. I got the injury wrong and plugged in the information wrong. So it was right in what I said to it but the injury I said was wrong that was my mistake.

Basically, Sadiq means you would have to cover him with a safety or nickel instead of a LB.  Not a huge advantage, but he can create mismatches in some sets.

I think he has the advantage vs nickel and safeties as well. How many safeties run 4.3 can cover 6'3 and have 42 inch vertical. If he's a 19 this is really a no brainer. His blocking isn't as bad as some of the guys forced to be slots either. I m not even sure he makes it to 19 at this point

If you are running man defense, probably. If you are running zone, not as definitive you need a safety or nickel on him

This only happens IF free agency goes our way. Even then, im not so sure.

Without seeing our additions in FA, I am fully expecting S, LB, OT, IOL, or EDGE (not in any order) positions targeted with our first and second round picks. I think OT is the most realistic 1st round pick unless there is a run early and we don't get offers favorable enough to trade back. I think LB can be upgraded in FA, but we could miss out on some of the big names. I think targeting an EDGE early depends on what they think of Scourton and Princely. Not in the sense of whether or not they will upgrade the position, but in the sense of if they would rather upgrade with a vet or youth.

At the end of the day, we also thought last year there was no way they go WR in the first with as many holes as they have. So I can't 100% say they won't take a TE at 19.
