Just going off sources but I said from the very start that I thought Lloyd would return to Arizona and that the coach would end up being Donovan or one of the tier 2 coaches.

Arizona is in the process of locking down Lloyd with a new deal. 

If my understanding is correct it's between Lloyd and Donovan already. 

Pretty good chance that Lloyd stays in Arizona and that leaves Billy Donovan

As you can see above my original thoughts on what would end up happening. I even mentioned earlier that Byington could be in play if Donovan says no.

Oh also a note, he took less money to stay at Arizona... Quite a bit actually. UNC was prepared to make him the highest paid coach in mens basketball. 

 

But Arizona fixed the three biggest issues and why he was seriously considering leaving. Staff funds, nil funds and no longer having to report to the AD.
