I did my personal mock this morning and ended up going this route with Sadiq and Thienaman still on the board. Now it feels wrong.

I feel at best KC would be the 15th best option at pick 19.....even stowers could be above him, for me he's up for 51, but not 19.....if that happens repeat of 2024 success. KO is like the 10th best WR, he's a late 2nd type of guy..

Nobody credible really thinks this.

KC Concepcion is a favorite for pick 19. I expect it to be him unless something wacky happens. We’ll see!!

They did a great job last year of having everyone expecting pass rusher at #9 when they were keying on T-Mac all along. I believe them on that because every edge rusher who could've conceivably been available at #9 was still on the board and we drafted T-Mac. Being further down the draft hoard this year with needs all over the roster we can leave bread crumbs all over the place. And in reality, we have to be flexible with our wish list. The further down the board you get the more unpredictable it is who'll be available.

I'll be honest though, Conception at #19 just isn't very exciting.

Yeah, honestly view Conception as a early to mid-2nd round type pick.  #19 feels like a significant reach. If he's indeed the target I'd be working the phones hard trying to slide back and pick up some additional picks.

Im just not a fan, here's what I think of when KC is talked about-

For nerd numbers thats almost perfect for showing future success....I mean Polk was traded for used coupons, Coleman about 50 problems there, 3 panthers that ugh.....I still got hope for XL but maaannn.

And who is right there....KC. Loads of teams run zone in the NFL, like 70% of time and KC sucks against 70% of time.....so send that to those "experts" and watch them change some thoughts.....

claypool, LOLLOLOLS

the legend Mims, whom of baylor fame was linked here in many trade rumors....

My God that list, read it my fend!!

You run zone because you can’t challenge WRs in space. Developing a guy to learn when to squat or stop is a normal part of the growing process. Guys who can challenge man and separate deep are going to get drafted high or paid exuberant money. It’s a skill set you have to have on your roster.

additionally, this data isn’t new-we’ve seen it before, so I don’t need to read it. It’s an isolated component of his profile whole profile, one that is about to get him drafted high.

I'm hoping it's a smokescreen. I don't want to pull a Detroit and draft 3 WR in round one Three years in a row.

That doesn’t really mean anything though. To expand on it, not only did they take three straight, they took a first round WR in four out of five years.

if they had passed on the talent in 2007 because of what they did from 2003-2005, it would’ve been a colossal mistake.

millen’s mistake was drafting bad players. If the talent is at a premium position-then take that.

it should also be pointed out that today’s nfl mandates three, if not four, quality wideouts whereas in the early two thousands you were just fine with two

    • Not sure who said it first, but Tepper is the correct answer. Still, I'm gonna go with Kasay keeping it inbounds. If, you subscribe to the butterfly effect version of time travel consequences.... When we win SBXXXVIII everybody's lives change: Moose never breaks his leg, We win it all again in 05. Tommy Jone is unknown and Peppers stays home, Champs once more 2008. No artificial pig heart turning JR into a creepy weirdo, no lockout, no Clausen. Fox and Jake ride off into the sunset on their own terms. No 2-14, no #1 pick. But, no laptop, no Blinn, 3 years behind The Golden Calf of Bristol, we still get Cam. JR let's him grow his locs like he always wanted, Smitty sees Cam in a new light. Dreads swinging, (and Smitty with his 3 Lombardis behind him) Cam is old enough to get those calls. No Manning narrative, Cotchery TD, PI against Talib on Philly Brown, 10,000 RTP calls and Kony Ealy SB50 MVP. No Jeans Fridays, no Tepper. KB doesn't slip on his own meatsweat mid-route in SD, Cam becomes the 1st QB to win 10 straight SBs. Retiring after being elected 47th president of the US of A, Cam ushers in the Permanent Proletarian Revolution across the globe, Xi Jinping bows in awe. "ẄøŘƙƐṛ§ őF ŧĤə ŵØRłð, ŮŊÏŦƐ!!!"
    • Yeah your right the owner was copping hand shandies while all this was going down
    • I mean not surprised the Patriots took him in and aren't trying to push him out. They've been the most morally bankrupt team in the NFL for a long while. Wouldn't be surprised if Vrabel has his own dirt on Kraft/Brady and other assholes from that organization over the last couple decades.
