Rasheed Walker for Kris Jenkins Jr.

Bungals made a big trade for Dexter Lawrence, Kris has been IR'd in past years and now has a 700 snap DT to comp with.

He's rumored to be on the block, same for payne....

Kris is young and has two more years, bungals need allllll the OLmen they can get, Walker would make Joe Burrow smile. Jenkins would filled the Wharton lost and who knows....find a new home?

No thanks. I'll keep Walker. Freeling may not be ready to start day one or weay run unto OL injury issues. I want no excuses for Bryce.

I'll take a strong OT group over trading for a backup DT from the worst rushing D in the NFL and the 2nd to worst overall D.

Be honest, if his name wasn't "Kris Jenkins Jr." this would cross nobody's mind.

Yeah I’m not messing with our OL, at least not until Icky is playing 100% again. If a mid to late future pick would move a decent DL piece then I’m down. Especially if that player gets Wharton cut this offseason.

On the one hand I do feel like it will only be a matter of time before Rasheed Walker receives his share of criticism from Panthers fans. But we don't need any excuses this season. Keep the highest paid OL in the league intact and await the end result.

We didn’t really have much of a choice, and were lucky to get Walker. And lucky to get Freeling too for that matter.

People say Walker s a better pass than run blocker but I am not sure that means he upgrades Icky’s pass pro

And my fairly critical view of what it will take to compete relies heavily on the run game being improved over last year. We weren’t that good after we got past the bad defenses.  (And a lot of that was due to the QB not posing a big enough threat if they sold out foe the run. But it is what it is, we just have to be better)

I think we need a Plus run game to compensate for other stuff.  So I am rooting for Walker

If the Bengals wanted walker they could have had him cheap.

He is signed as a insurance policy thats why he has the 4m/10m contract.

The Bengals approach OL like we did during Cam's career. Ah, we don't need that poo! Spend it all on D (our case with Cam)! At least they give Burrow crazy elite receivers but it's hard to throw when you're flat on your back.

This is what scares me most this year IMO. I think the defense can be Top 10. But unless Brooks breaks out AND we get some OL health luck, I don't know if we're anything other than a meh rushing team at best.  Chuba ain't scaring anybody. Take away Rico's few weeks of monster games and make them average, and our rushing stats last year are bottom third of the league.  Hell, we already are in the bottom half even with Rico's crazy stretch.

Idzik calling plays being a difference and/or Bryce magically becoming a different QB are the only hopes we have I think. I think this offense could be downright bad, despite a defense giving them 2nd chances or short fields.

Yeah. I am one of. those who think a JAG RB can eat with really good blocking. (Brooks is most important in my mind, in tbe passing game and that is what we’ll lose without him)

There are a lot of aspects to this. The big one that caused us to struggle is Young and his arm scared no one.  Best back, best blocking still cannot defeat a really good defense if they are not forced to respect the pass.
And teams did not.

But, a strong OL and running game Can get us over against weaker defenses.
And if Bryce still doesn’t scare anyone we can still win some games. Like last year  So it is really important to tend to that OL.

Get that straight and see if in his fourth year he can finally back defenses off. That is what if is all about this year to me, on the Bryce front.
