Mike Brown will not trade Carson Palmer

And he'll continue to have "no plans" until it happens :sosp:

Marvin Lewis is still trying to convince him that getting something is better than getting nothing, but Brown is afraid if he gives in on this other players might make similar demands. Sadly, as logical as it might be, I don't know for certain whether or not Lewis will win that argument.

I sincerely doubt that those other players have as much in the bank as Palmer, but given how much the Bengals suck, I can see where he'd be afraid.

Part of me would love to know what Mike Brown thinks is the reason for the Bengals suckage. Does he know he's crap, or does he actually believe he's good at what he does and it's all somebody else's fault?

Not a shocker. Doesn't want to set a bad president just to get a late round pick which is really all you can get for Palmer given his age, contract and his arm about to fall off.

But sure enough if some team calls up offering a buttload of picks his story will change in no time.

Contracts aren't voided bc of the CBA. Otherwise e eryone would be a free agent right now. Bengals will retain his rights until Palmer's contract runs out.

If not retiring would essentially be a opt out for players and they would just retire then become a free agent.

So now we know Kolb is too expensive and no one is getting Palmer. Running out of options.
