New research shows Panthers fans to be the least loyal in NFL

And one more thing, does anybody even remember knowing what a Patriots fan was before they started their run last decade?

And yet somehow their the most loyal?

I guess it's easy to be "loyal" when your team is constantly in the playoffs..

We know this article is bullcrap because the Raiders are in the bottom 5 with us.

They've sucked for decades and still have a dedicated (albeit insane) fanbase.

Last season it got to the point where you had people posting about how they were mocked for wearing Panthers gear....in the city of Charlotte.

Its funny that you say that... I came down to Charlotte for the Ravens game wearing my Black&Blue and saw nothing but Black&Purple. Walking down Tryon Street looking to get some food, I actually passed a group of Raven's fan and got laughed at for wearing and showing my support for the Panthers. I expect that were I live (that being in Baltimore) but not in Charlotte. Definitely was not a good season to be a Panthers fans.

I cry in your general direction. But not for you, someone here may think I am a Panther fan and make fun of me then.

Oh we have a ton of fair weather fans no doubt but we're young.

Having said that...

I have to point out that along with the Browns, Skins, & Raiders being in the bottom 5 with us, the Packers 4th?!? Really?

Eta: The Bears not in the top 5? This system is Bullpoo.

I remember a couple months ago I said something similar. I said that it was embarrassing to wear a Panthers jersey here in town because everywhere I went I was made to explain my teams suckage, Jake, etc.

This poll is a direct reflection of JR's public relations of late.

Interestingly I live 40 miles west of Charlotte and frankly I wear my Panthers gear year round. Sure I got a few comments this year like they are really having a tough year etc, but I have not been laughed at once. I wore it to every game and didn't get laughed at even when we lost by big margins.

I don't know why my experience seems different from most folks posting but it does.

    • Lil Stanky 100% in the dot tonight... And our 2nd line has been our best offensive line this season. Maybe our 2C really was on the roster this whole time...?
    • That’s a grade I kind of expected tbh. I’m not a huge fan of NS, but he’s not as bad as what the huddle says he is minus the horrible game he had vs the Rams. I’ve always thought he’s often used as a scapegoat. The improved pass rush should hide his deficiencies a little bit better if he’s the game one starter. FS might have to be a position we punt on this year unless Thieneman falls to us at 19. The reality is, you're going to have a few average players in certain spots for a team with as many holes we had before free agency started. You can’t sign everyone.
    • I am by no means trying to say he's a world beater. I'm saying it's trending in the right direction. Especially when measured against himself.i think the team feel the same way or else they wouldn't have picked up his option. Plus I think there is a new idea in the NFL about these young QBs. Teams give up to soon. Browns gave up to soon on baker same with the jets on Geno and darnold. Maybe they are who you thought they were in the draft process and they need more time to develop than you originally planned. Either way. I do think he is as capable as darnold is as far as you can win a championship with him. And something he does have that darnold doesn't is he is clutch.  If I need one more drive and 2 mins to go I'm betting on Bryce and I am far from a homer, just going off his game winning drives. He has that dog in him on the last drive.
