Reduced season or no season

It's not my belief that the lockout will drag out so long that we will actually lose games, but I must admit to the possibility that it could.

In a worst-case-scenario like this, would you be okay with a partial season, or are you an "all or nothing" type?

Even if we have a 1 game season, I'm still going to watch and be 'ok' with it. I'd like to say that I won't watch to teach the owners a lesson, but they couldn't give sh!t either way. So 1 game or 18, I'm going to check out the action. I actually had fun pulling for Denver to win late last season, and we might have a similar situation next season.

If it becomes clear that they are going to miss games, the US government should intervene... Charlotte businesses shouldn't have to miss out on 64 million dollars of revenue generated by the 8 NFL home games because these spoiled children can't figure out how to split up 9 billion.

i would rather win a tainted superbowl than have a lockout.

You'd get poo for it and no respect at all for it. If we are talking 1 or 2 games obviously a huge difference than half the season.

But how prepared are teams really going to be getting into it mid season? Sounds like a disaster and some bullpoo fan wise and even more BS coming from a paying customer viewpoint.

yea, if there aren't any camps this year, the whole season is gonna be a crazy ass clusterf*ck.

which is part of the reason I don't understand drafting a QB this year. You aren't gonna be able to work with him, you aren't gonna be able to start him.

This will end by the draft. She will hear arguments on briefs she has already read and mostly made up her mind on based on law. within two weeks of this hearing next week she will rule.

My guess is she will rule the decertification is a sham, which it is, and therefor she will lift the lockout and have the league conduct business under 2010 rules and order both back to the table or else.

A week after the draft Free agency will start say on the 29th.

This season will will get played one way or the other. Too much money at stake and too many jobs and economy's affected outside just the owners and players.

I do expect her to rip some ass on both sides.

No season. Near impossible for a new staff just to be able to walk on field with a new team. Half aszed product at full price. No thanks. The difference in preparation between an Atalnta and San Fran would be night and day. Too many new staffs would know nothing about there team and wouldn't have installed the offense or d

    • You're assuming just as well.   Morgan and Canales were hired 3 days apart.  I believe it was partially due to their connections in Seattle.  i believe Tepper wanted some familiarity with his GM and HC.  It is so easy to sit back and arm-chair QB over draft picks.  You don't know what the philosophy was going into the 2024 draft.  I believe Canales and Morgan were drafting for the future.  XL and Brooks point to that philosophy. Name me one GM that is 100% on draft picks.  Just one.  You're not going to find one.    I think year one picks weren't for what can you do for me now but Potential.   XL hasn't lived up to the hype of a 1st rounder.  I think we all can agree on that. However, there still is hope he comes around.  What I believe they saw in him was his speed after the catch.  He needs to get more consistent but when he gets the ball you kind of hold your breath just a second because if he gets free, he's gone.  The Brooks pick was a signing for the future, and no one could have guessed he would re-injure the same ACL.  This makes the pick look bad but Dallas was ready to draft him later that same round.  IMO we'll have to see what happens next season before we can call this a bust. Wallace has improved each season and for a third rounder has done well.  Sanders has shown flashes and considering the pick in the 4th round it wasn't a bad pick.  His sophomore season IMO was a little bit more productive.  Smith-Wade has been a good addition and has played well.  For a 5th round pick to get as much playing time as he has.  Most picks below round 3 should take a couple of years to get up to speed.  He's been a decent player.  Crumedy, no comment We turned Barrett into Jackson.  This was an amazing move and basically got a starting CB for a 7th round pick.  Pretty shrewd if you ask me. Coker, maybe the best Free Agent signing of the 2024 draft class. So, in short, you can't say that the draft was a bust.  It isn't a home run but all but one are still on the team and outside of Brooks have made contributions to wins.  2025 draft class has been much better with almost every pick making contributions this season.  Now take Fitterer's two years and compare them to Morgan and tell me that they have the same philosophy.
    • He hasn’t led crap, he’s on loaded teams and a piece of the puzzle. And he’s he has improved drastically but it took the ultimate QB whispers in Shanahan and KOC. You put him on this Panther team and he’s back to normal Darnold
    • Slavin and Jarvis week to week. Florida cheap shots took out our two best players.  I’d start KK so he can beat the brakes off someone.
