Espn top 10 LBers. Beason tied for 9ths.

ESPN put 2 LBers from Steelers up there and never mentioned Timmons? He's one of the most versitile LBers in the game.. Steelers even put him on an island with receivers.

There's no way Beason is 9th overall..

Timmons is on the list just further down. He's in the others receiving votes list. I honestly don't mind Harrison and Woodley being in the list ahead of him, they along with Clay Matthews and Demarcus Ware are the best pass rushing LBS in the league. Timmons is a freak though....

What's funny is if this list had Beason #1 you'd all praise the list.

everyone knows it's between Beason and Willis.. even outside of this forum.

you're right though. fans have a tendency to be homers.. but come on, I know you don't agree with this particular one.

I don't mind them being on the list. Harrison is brutal out on the field and hard to stop. Timmons freakish abilities and smarts makes me question his spot. I like Woodley, but I would take Timmons over him every time..

I think Willis holds just the slightest of edges over Beast but they are practically equal. This list really does need to be coverage (4-3 LBS and 3-4 ILBS) and then 3-4 pass rushing LBS....

I'd probably put Matthews at the top of that list over Willis.

I think Harrison is overhyped because he plays for the Steelers and he has the big Super Bowl highlight that everyone remembers.

Demarcus Ware is legit but is a pure pass rusher and has shown signs he might be injury prone.

Plenty of credit to Lewis and Urlacher, but neither is what they once were.

I would probably put Beason 3rd or 4th on that list. I wouldn't argue too much with 5th.

Definitely can't buy him being 9th. I think our record and his position switch probably hurt him in the analyst's eyes.

Timmons ability to shut down receivers in the middle of the field is invaluable, but so is Woodleys ability to get after the QB better then just about everyone in the league. The Steelers will make sure both are in Pittsburgh for a long time for good reason....
