Yeah, you are right. Though I don't know - If Brees hadn't been injured, would the Chargers have let him walk? I don't know the details.

but yeah we are paying too much for cam to let him go... but I do think he could get delayed a year or so in playing if Clausen does well.

edit: ok, chargers offered him a contract, but Brees was insulted that the top money in it was based on incentives. so he went to NO instead.

The only way it happens is if Clausen plays phenomenal. He'd have to be a top 10 QB by next year or maybe the next. He would have to make Hurney scared shitless to lose him.

I agree. If cam learns and pcicks everything up fast why can't he start day 1? No one expects him to be a pro bowl qb first year but I don't get how people say he is incapable of learning the system fast enough before he even attempts to. He may or may not be able to but let's let the coaches decide.
