Carolina can easily get a 5 win season with the defense carrying the weight alone. We have some DT's and our LB core is truly back, it's a hopeful season.

What's the worst we could do, draft Andrew Luck?

I'm going to say 10-6 sneak into the playoffs behind Newton's legs. Lose in the 1st round.

Newton's Stats

2500 yards passing

15 PTD 15-18 INTs

500-700 yards rusing

5-8 RTD

But what really puts into high gear is what that would do for our running game outside of Newton. Dwill would go CJ (VY Factor) all over this league racking up over 1500 yards and 15+ tds.

All I'm gonna predict is that we get at least 2,200 yards on the ground and that we get a top ten defense.

Looking at the schedule I would predict a 6-10 season give or take two games. Really all depends on QB play. If we can manage 200 pass yards per game and not throw... 22 picks I think it was(?), we can compete for a WC spot.

Obviously I am assuming we keep major players like Smitty, D-Will, CJ, and the two LBs.

I'm hoping Rivera-Cam era can Start like the Reid- Mcnabb era did in Philly. Around a 5-11 record Cam get round 1000 yards passing 9td, 8int, he picks up around 300 yds rushing with 3 rushing td's. I think we can do all this without Smitty because he is good as gone. If we pull that off with the hardest schedule in the league I will be pumped, and it should put us in position to draft a true #1 WR to replace Smitty in the 2012 Draft (Jefferies or Blackmon) hopefully! The games I think we take are: Opener at Ariz, Home against the Saints, Home against the skins, Home against Minn, and Home against Tenn.. I think the Saints game at home will be our upset of the year, just have faith in Riveras D to slow down Brees and give us something to build on, hell don't forget we almost beat em at NO with Jimmy last year, it can happen!

O-line stays healthy

T. Davis and Beason play well

RB's stay healthy

If any of the above fail to happen, I don't think we win 4 games

I dont see any team really finishing without winning atleast 5 games this season. That said, if Carolina wins 5 games, since they have the leagues hardest schedule, its conceivable for Carolina to win 5 games and still get the #1 pick.
