What positions do we to fill in FA market

Assuming we will have one what postions are critical for us to fill in the FA market?

I know our first prioity will be to sign CJ,TD and others.

On defense I feel we need to sign a cb given marshall wants out.

On offense we need a competent and healthy tackle and wr.I am surprised that Shocky who is injured most of the time is our answer at TE.Do we need a vet qb?If Moore is gone I think absolutly.

I would guess DT (veteran--I know we drafted 2, but we had none and need 4), CB, and maybe a veteran QB. I think Cam will start early, so maybe a vet QB will not be better than Clausen in year 2 as a backup. Moore will be the vet if we bring one in, IMO.

I think we re-sign Rosario and go with Barnidge, Shockey, and Dante. I think they will wait to address TE in the draft next year, unless we get a steal in free agency.

FA I'd like to see in a panthers uniform. Probably won't happen because of money.

CB- Nnamdi Asomugah

DT- Cullen Jenkins

WR- Sidney Rice

QB- Alex Smith (yes I think he would be a great vet to add in my opinion. A change of scenery would do him well. He's still young too.)

Those players would be my 'wish' list. Players that would probably get us back to our winning ways.

The next list would be of players that I wouldn't mind getting either. Players that would improve our team but not as much as the others. 2nd tier guys I guess..

CB- Jonathan Joseph

DT- B. Cofield

QB- B. Volek (only for the Chudzinski ties, I realize he's a bit old.)

WR- Mike Sims-Walker (seriously under rated)

This group would help for sure. Just not as much as a huge impact as I believe the top tier guys imo.

Then there's these guys who are also serviceable.

CB- Brent Grimes (I think he would be a great pick up, steal away the competitions talent.)

DT- Brandon Mebane ( I realize he's not a dominating force but he's serviceable, young, and has played before)

QB- Marc Bulger(Yeah..)

WR- Malcom Floyd ( 6'5" possession wide out. We already have a pair of 6'3" WR, one of them is a burner the other is a possession type like Floyd. I strongly believe Floyd would embrace the role of #1.)

Then there's the others that I think would not only help bit under other teams in our division if we acquire their services.

RG- Harvey Dahl or Carl Nicks (either one one of them would solidify our line, make it a wall so whoever is throwing the football can have all day to throw. Also this would so screw up the saints or falcons o line. Thus meaning their QBs will have less time to throw, affecting THEIR passing game and fortifying ours)

Finally, I want us to try and get a WR, CB and vet QB at LEAST. I think we will be fine at DT. A RG from the opposing competition would be another move that I would love if Rivera and Hurney get the green light from JR to do so.

Starting WR( If Smith leaves ) , Starting CB (If Marshall Leaves ) , , Starting DE (If CJohnson Leaves) , Starting DT ( need a starting vet for the pups) , Starting RG , Starting OLB (If TDavis & JAnderson Leaves ) and Back Up RB ( If Dwiil Leaves)...

Thinking that Marshall is leaving and 50 50 that smity is too , If we resign all other key free agents it goes like this

Smith Stays

#1 Starting CB

#2 Starting DT

#3 Starting OG

and if Smith leaves WR is our #1 need

Lets see who we sign of our core players. That will tell us who we need to get in free agency. Plus depending on the new CBA, we will know who is eligible to be free agents and who is not. Right now you can easily pull out all kind of names who may or may not reach free agency.

    • I mean, no I’m not going to panic when he got 2 Qs and looked great in 1 and looked not great in another (let’s not mention the drop).    Yeah we finally have a team that would be considered average offensively around him. Let’s roll this season.
    • The woe is me everything but Bryce sucks mantra is stale af my friend. Look nobody here is going to argue with the fact Frank Reich was not a good head coach. At the same time. Bryce Young is now in his second season with his second coaching staff and a handpicked young offensive head coach who has been known for working with QB's such as Baker and Geno. As far as the offensive pieces around Bryce we have the 4th highest salary cap allocation (that might be even higher now after the new Moton deal) dedicated to the OL in the entire league. We have 2 first round WR's one of them 8th overall the first time we've ever selected a WR that high in franchise history. And the fact of the matter is Bryce Young did not have a good preseason. It's not the first time it's happened either. We all hope to see he and the rest of the team flip a switch in week 1. But we should all be able to agree that the offensive performances we've seen from the entire QB room (Bryce included) in preseason was simply unacceptable.
    • We have seen Bryce play… what… 9 games with AT BEST what one would consider NFL average WRs? You just can’t see the forest for the trees and keep going back to your lazy take of revisionist history.    he looked AWFUL Y1 with the worst coaching I’ve ever seen in the NFL and one of the weakest WR rooms I can recall. He looked awful first half of y2 and great second half of y2 with average coaching and average skill position. I don’t know where this elite talent argument even comes from.
