ESPN Has No Love For the Panthers

Not aimed at you personally but it's annoying when people keep saying we're 2-14. Like last year was the first year the panthers have ever played football.

Yeah, I'm sure 4 winning seasons in 16 years has something to do with it. :eek6:

If you log onto ESPN Page 2 right now they have the a poll titled "Which team should be relegated to a lower league"

The choices are

  • Minnesota Timberwolves
  • Houston Astros
  • Edmonton Oilers
  • CAROLINA PANTHERS

There is no way we are in the same league as the failures that are listed in this. And to add insult to injury we are in second place with 32%

IMO that is low and classless. Looks much worse for ESPN than it does for the teams they trashed.

Ehh, never put much stock in these kind of polls. Most guys in the media are simply guys who wanted to get into the game itself but couldn't because a lack of talent, so now they're buttsore about their lack of purpose in life.

Either way I'm pretty sure at least 3 of the 4 teams on that list don't deserve to be there, as the Panthers, 'Stro's and T-Wolves have all had relative success in the past decade, especially compared to some other teams which have been on the bottom a long time (i.e. Lions, Clippers,) Couldn't speak for the Oillers as they're Canadian and I don't care. Nor do I know anything about them to begin with..

No respect is a common thing amongst the Panthers' franchise. No big deal. We should be used to it now.

The only thing that strikes me as funny, is how the Lions, a team that has not had a winning record (Their last winning record was 9-7 in '00), since the divisions got reshuffled ('02), get the benefit of the doubt every year.

While the Panthers, are approached and talked about as if they're a team that has struggled to win 3 games total over a 3 year span.
