How expensive is your...

Heh well lets see...

Majority of the polos I own are either Polo, Lacoste, or Burberry.

Many Polo button ups and numerous Burberry one's as well.

I rock True Religion Jeans and Rock and Republics when I go out.

Love my Versace cologne and Tag watch.

And the Gucci aviators stay on my head in the summer.

This.

My friends joke that I should get a RL logo tattooed on my chest because it's always there on my clothes.

I buy store brand groceries though for the most part. I can't tell enough of a difference in most items to warrant spending more money.

But the thing about expensive clothes is that yes, you spend a lot of money at one time, but I rarely have to replace my clothes because they are made so well. They last such a long time and are made much better than cheaper clothes that might start getting holes, fraying or losing thread.

Plus, da bitches love a guy who can dress well, so long as you don't dress better than they do (in which case you are walking the dangerous line between stylish and the gay best friend).

Don't like Jewelry or watches, and don't spend much on clothes. I do buy expensive shoes though, but more for comfort than for style.

I don't buy a lot of electronic gadgets, as most of them are useless. I also am happy buying the cheaper cars, and my house is nothing special, even though I could afford a bigger more expensive one.

Basically I try to live with expenses as minimal as possible, but I do spend more on vacations as I like to go to more exotic locations. Right now, we are planning a trip to Europe for next year, and maybe Hawaii the year after.

The most expensive item I wear day to day are my Corcoran II field boots, but things like that only need to be replaced every couple of years. I have a pair of Carolina linesman boots that are close to 10 years old and almost look brand new.

In other words, I'll pay well for quality, but I couldn't give a rip about a brand name. I have to admit that I laugh at folks who walk around looking like a billboard.

But, our biggest weakness tends to be gadgets and such.

My friends say I have very expensive taste. I don't consider expensive taste, but more for a taste of quality which almost always is more expensive. I always buy top brands. It is almost always worth it if you can. The moment I have enough for the cheap brand I put my head down and save for another week or whatever and buy what I know will last and won't have to re-buy. I do draw a line though at which you're just paying for the name, however there is always better quality for more price in everything you buy. I wear Ralph Lauren dress shirts a lot not because I have expensive taste but because instead of paying $20 for the same shirt at walmart that will become a shitty color, or fade or lacks proper stitching will only last a year while a nice $50 ralph lareun shirt will last you 5 years.

I call it quality taste, or better yet more 'expensive initial costs taste' because it has a more expensive initial cost but over time you will save a lot more. I bout some radios for a business a while back. I could have dropped 1k on come cheapies, but those were the ones I was replacing after going cheap the first time lasting one year, but I dropped 5k instead. I got fancy ones with a lifetime warranty, best ratings and could get wet/dropped. I am just now, after almost 5 years making my money back and I have yet to use the lifetime warranty. The radios preform flawlessly like new and have another 5 years left in them.

So I am more of a you get what you pay for guy but I won't pay for just a name it has to mean more quality.

Unless of course we are talking presents to women becasue to them a name is the ONLY thing worth buying for some reason :).

    • The term you're looking for is "malinger(ed)", and he didn't.  I'm not sure why Panthers fans act like jaded ex girlfriends.  The dude is clearly injury prone as his time in San Fransico also proves. It's not like he got to San Fran and stopped having problems.
    • My long and rambling post:   The guy is all heart, and I wouldn’t be surprised if he came back even better next year. He’s exactly the guy you lock up. The money won’t ever change the way he plays.  It was a big fumble, but what 1,000 yard back fumbles once in an entire season?  Pride. This team is FINALLY seeing guys who obviously take the game very seriously. Hunt, Chuba, Thielen, Brown, Horn (CB), Coker, Bryce (IMHO). Bye bye, Spider-Man. I don’t see these dudes being OK with teammates half-assing practice or in games. I can see Brown and Horn coming over to talk to somebody.  Good team? Ummm, maybe, but will still likely lose more close games than they win unless this last draft turns in to LOB part 2. That’s a stretch.  Pretty good/decent team. Yes. They finished the season as a pretty good team. I know I sound like a broken record harping back to it, but going in to ATL and putting a 40 burger on them en route to an OT win. A bad Panthers team would have had their brakes beaten off. We’ve seen it.  Rose colored glasses on and bonging a 40 of hopium: There are watershed moments that occur that change the course of franchises, both good and bad. If Fox doesn’t pull Rodney at halftime, the epic journey that was 2003 never happens. On the negative side, Cam taking that one hit from Watt was the end of any and all Panthers relevancy and we’ve been the biggest losers in all of pro sports as a result. Watershed moments. LOB draft. Vinny goes down and the goat is born.  Will the ATL game be the spark that this franchise has desperately needed? Could it be that they hit the mega million jackpot with Princley and Scourton as eat QBs for breakfast? Sure would be nice having 2 all-pro edge guys on the cheap for the next 4 years.  A lot of unknowns, but at least it actually feels  fun again.
    • Ok LT and Petersen are a cut above everyone else to me cmc and Faulk are interchangeable on this list.  though Faulk was better career wise
