Travelle Wharton is one of the most underrated linemen in the NFC. His contract seems huge, but any linemen of note, especially on the left side, is going to fetch that kind of money.

He got that contract because he is / was a hell of a guard and a decent backup Olineman.

I think he is an above average guard, but he is a little bit injury prone. He got LT money but it a guard. I think him and Gamble should be restructurred. THis is coming from a guy who has a Wharton jersey. I am a huge Wharton fan.

Ill be responsible and call myself a hypocrite for thinking I know the value of a player in relation to salary, especially for one of the most difficult positions to gauge. Instead of mediocre, I could have at least mentioned him as reliable.

Lol, Gamble's been one of the highest paid CB's in the league since he got that new deal. Wharton isn't making LT money, Gross is. Wharton's deal is about average for a top 10 guard. Nothing really surprising on this list if you keep up with deal's and contracts, I hope they can get Kalil extended before the 20th of September though.

As long as we field a competitive team, I hope we are high on that list every year. We should reward good players, especially the core players here.

The salary cap is going to jum up to $140M+ in a couple of years, and it will look like we saved money then by locking up our guys now. Say what you want about Hurney as a GM, but he knows the salary cap.

Wharton is a damn near elite LG, however I would like to see his contract restructured.

Gamble is along the same lines, hopefully we sign Kalil to a deal soon and see that number go down.

So many of our guys are overpaid lol Out of 4 teams 5 of the top 10 contracts are Panthers. And are we really more talented than say the Saints or Falcons? lol
