I thought Clowney made it for sure. I guess Pilares is healthy enough to play week one. Smith,Naanee,LaFell,Edwards,and Pilares make up the squad. I honestly think Pilares is going to end up being a great player I just don't know if he will get enough playing time to prove himself this year.

I guess Rivera is putting his stamp on the team. Bringing in some of his guys, or at least someone he's familiar with.

Cutting Clowney and T- Sutt cleaned up my Twitter timeline considerably.

Clowney was a real value in my estimation. You could tell he was working hard to make the team. I gathered Smitty liked him from what I saw on the sidelines. I just can't believe we ditched him for Look-Ma-No-Hands. I suppose the coaches no more than us, but he had better do something this year.

Now the Clowney Cut makes more sense with the signing of Ajirotutu. I guess we had to cut some WR for him and it probably came down to Clowney Pilares and Edwards. I think Clowney would have really helped out our special teams but never mind that now.

I was really pulling for Keiser who was another Stanford Defensive linemen on our team. I think he will have a chance to make the practice squad. Clowney I think is too old to be on the practice squad but should find a job elsewhere.

I don't want to be so cynical about it, but the Clowney cut seems to make no sense in light of the situation. We keep projects, and get another > 3rd string Charger who has to come in and learn the system.
