Beason practices and plans to play!

I'm worried about his conditioning as well with him not running for the last few months. I think if he plays it might be limited snap count wise.

yeah, Beason ain't in week 1 NFL football shape....he may be a beast but put him out there in a new scheme and not in football shape.

Maybe bring him in for some passing downs if healthy and let Connor handle the run downs.....

Meh - if I had to guess I'd say he dresses and comes in rarely so he can be a presence for the D. He's clearly a team leader. I'm not sure you can expect any significant play-time out of someone who only just started practicing though...

...and if you did would you really want it? Rushing back is bad juju

I'd rather see him in uniform with a limited number of snaps, fired up and slapping helmets, than standing around in street clothes chewing sunflower seeds. His much-needed leadership of this defense cannot be understated, especially those young guys up front.

He wont play

I'm actually hoping he won't.

Don't get me wrong... I'd love for him to come out and dominate.

But the guy had screws inserted into his heel bone to correct a bone bruise.

Heel bone injury/repair often takes a really long time to recover from.

I'd rather he sit and get to 100% than come in and risk permanently fuging himself up, or having to take longer bench time from aggravating the surgery/injury.

I doubt Beason is that out of shape. The dude is a machine and I'm sure he was busting his ass in the offseason. Guys like him know how to take care of themselves.

he may be a machine but he hasn't been getting reps. He will be a machine drastically in need of a tune up if he takes the field.....could do more damage to himself than good for the team.
