I think Godfrey has more football talent, but Minter was a special player for this team for a long time. I think Godfrey could be on his way, with being named a captain this year.

Mike Minter was severely overrated.

maybe late in his career. Overall he was a very good S. He wasn't a Ed Reed or Troy P...but much better than where Godfrey currently is at.

He surely was overrated to an extent, but you can't put a price on some of the other things he brought to the team for many years.

Godfrey gets himself out of position way too much, but if he ever puts it all together he has more natural talent than any safety we've ever had. Between him, Martin and Pugh I really like our safeties, love when Rivera said he wants to get them all on the field in nickel.

The thing about Minter is, he was so well loved. Being a very religious man, opening that charity with Rucker, and being a media darling, he was always in the spotlight of the team.

Charles Godfrey, I don't think, will ever be at that point. However, I think that when all is said and done, Godfrey will have the better career

As a safety perhaps, but as a man, a leader and the spark of the team he was underrated.

Best thing is, you won't find anyone more genuine. He was The Golden Calf of Bristol before The Golden Calf of Bristol was.

I think his last few years blur reality.....he wasn't terrible throughout his career. He was defintately more of a hard hitter but he wasn't terrible early on and in the middle of his career.
