He has this year to prove himself, if he can't he will be cut in camp next season.

What makes Lafell so appealing is his blocking ability, very similar to Moose. That was the only reason he got on the field so much when fox was here.

Its not hate if its the truth. Armanti has improved and made a few good catches(in preseason)but, he dropped every single heater threw by cam and DA. He needs to work on catching those darts!

Edwards is going to score a TD pretty soon. You can see ability in him. I think him and Lafell will both be good WR's.

Yup, especially after Lafell just had his 1st actual good game and showed he may be able to play and have potential as a #2 for the season. It would be the perfect time to shake up the system that the players already had little time to learn, move him further down the depth chart for an unproved Armanti who frankly hasn't panned out and is riding the fence of being a wasted pick. I hope Armanti pans out but don't change something that was working in the first game just yet.

I think we need to just pick a WR and throw him in the fire and see how he performs. Armanti, Ajirotutu, etc. And if they do well, awesome, if they don't, freaking cut them and find someone else. I'm sick of for the past decade carrying dead weight at WR constantly.

Edwards needs to focus on punt returns. Thats his gig right now. He bobbled a ball on Sunday, and that is something he has to eliminate. Once he has the punt returns down pat, then he can perhaps start working his way onto the field as a receiver.

IMO Lafell makes a better outside WR and Armanti a better slot guy. Lafell is good at is using his size to square out defenders and going up for the ball.

I doubt he see's a snap at #2 this year, but I also believe the playbook will expand and the receiver sets will allow for extra opportunities for all the receivers at some point. I doubt that will be this weekend, the two TE sets will continue to provide the extra protection and options for Cam to deal with the heavy pressure. I can't wait for this team to shake the constant 8 in the box that gets thrown at us week-in, week-out.

Armanti could be compared to Randel El maybe?

Different body. Randle El was built more like Smith than Edwards, just a little taller, but still with thicker legs. Smith is compact, so even though he's not tall, he can still be physical.

Armanti has long, skinny legs, and a short torso. He's not built to mix it up.
