What do you attribute to Cams shaky start today...

Early in the game, the rain was not as crazy as it got, but I wondered even early in the game weather Cam's grip was affected by the rain. I know this doesn't make a ton of sense, since he has huge hands, but since his accuracy was 'way' off well before the rain got bad, it just made me wonder.

Anyone else not like Cam being in the shotgun almost every play? I liked him in the first drive of the Green Bay game where they lined up in the I-form doing lots of play action and rolling him out? He looked awesome and was on target every throw. Seems like with lots of routes going on the game speeds up on him.

I think today is more indicative of the cam we can expect see week in week out this season. Some good plays, some bad plays, a relatively low completion % as well as some moments where you just have to shake your head because few athletes can do the things he can do on the field. The future is bright but we need to keep our short term expectations in check. He's really gotta make more accurate throws- some of those should have been interceptions. At the same time a few better efforts from receivers, a certain call goes our way, and he would have had a statistically pretty good game.

I'm a huge Cam fan, I'll just say it, and be honest about it.

He was just off today. He will fix it.

The only two things that bug me so far is it seems like when it's a designed run play for him it's pretty obvious and always up the middle and that's on Chud. The other thing is when Cam runs, he should just run. This isn't the SEC, if you are going to run, then put the ball away and turn on the jets...you aren't going to stutter step too many people in the NFL.

He is an amazing athelete and I'm glad he's here.

a rookie qb planting his foot with a recent minor ankle tweak on a slip and slide football field in torrential downpour

Stop making excuses for him.

It had nothing to do with his foot....it had nothing to do with the play calling...it had to do with the fact that he is a ROOKIE.

He had one of those days that a rookie has. He was throwing high and pressing too much in the game. It is going to happen.

Not really anything to worry about.

    • The league would protect him.  The amount of poo Jerry Jones has had exposed and got away with?  The amount of poo Stephen Ross has got away with?  How long Dan Snyder got away with essentially fuging sex trafficking employees and poo???????  Taking down JR was a hit job.  You think the other 31 owners, especially the older ones aren’t blathering, blatant, ignorant ass, bigoted rich racists who have committed far worse things than Blue Jean Fridays?  The ones I named above have DEFINITELY did worse than what JR was accused of.  And do you think guys like Steve Smith would’ve been viewing him as a father figure if they felt that’s who he was?  JR pissed the league off with that last lockout situation and they made him pay.  They lined a new guy up to join their billionaire boys club in Tepper, and they prolly slid a pretty penny to Jonathan Jones to write the “expose,” to get JR out of here.  Again, all the owners I’ve listed above have been verified on record for doing worse poo, yet they’re still running their organizations, unquestioned.  They hand-picked Tepper long before JR was forced out, so he isn’t going anywhere.  Sadly.  fug the NFL.  (Also, to be clear, it’s always fug racism, bigotry, and sexual exploitation - not ever excusing it.  Just making the point that the NFL isn’t operating under this clear standard of justice applied to each and every case)
    • I was still in the throes of a contentious divorce and my job at the time had me work on Sundays.  At the beginning of the season I tried to still work around Sundays so I could see our games.  I think after Bryce came back from the benching, I said fug it.  First time in my life I intentionally didn’t watch our games, even through the Atlanta finale.  In the past, even if we didn’t live up to expectations, I would watch to still support and at least analyze player development, strengths and weaknesses, coaching, etc., but Bryce makes all of that a moot point, so I stopped watching. Again, this is asinine,  it if he is retained (still can’t believe this is even a possibility of a conversation due to how shitty our organization has become under Tepper), I will NOT watch next season until he is gone.
    • Live look at Bryce playing ping pong.
