Peppers is good at those things, but he isn't the best. Perhaps it's just a difference in philosophy between me and you. Perhaps you prefer versatility while I prefer consistency. Perhaps that's the core of the disagreement. I have yet to see you name 5 DEs better then peppers, You act like Peppers is not consistent enough when in fact he might not get QB pressure every down, But his presence alone makes a HB sit and block on a passing down or throws double teams at him.

Not only that but he is one of the only DEs in the game that make coaches make different plays that don't involve throwing over peppers because if you havn't noticed he is one of the only DEs who will bat the ball down or pop it up in the air and get a INT with his massive frame, And he is quicker then most DEs iv seen him run across the field to make a tackle

Your not giving him enough credit, i feel like your not impressed with him because he is so gifted that he isn't playing at his full potential, Hes almost 300 LBs Sprinting and fighting double teams all day... no one can do that every down.

If The Huddle would've been around in 2002, I would've been like most of these new Cam/Panther fans.

In 2002 I became a Panthers fan because of Pep, but don't get it twisted, it didn't take long for my love for the Panthers to outgrow my love for Pep.

At this point in their career, I would not trade CJ for Peppers, but Pep is probably the only D Linemen in the league that won't be impressed with Cam's Athletic ability. Let's not let our hate for Peppers cloud our vision, he's far more of a athletic freak than Cam. I personally feel that Pep is also faster than Cam, and Cam will not be able to outrun him laterally. I do think Cam could break Pep's ankles like he has with many others, including Clay.

I also don't think this game comes down to Cam vs Pep. I actually think Gross will keep Pep in check for most of the night, as well as Chud's scheme/gameplan.

Those cover 2 MLB's have to cover a lot of ground in the passing game. Urlacher will have to choose between getting enough depth to stay with Shockey and Olsen, and making sure Cam doesn't take off. With the aggressive rushing style of the Bears DE's, Cam will have a lot of running lanes, and I hope he takes advantage of them.

I disagree. Cole has outproduced Pepper's almost every season since he came into the league five years ago, and, like Peppers will draw double teams and will do all the extra curricular things a DE can do and do them well.

I just can't grasp where this notion that Pepper's is all world is coming from. He's great, but he isn't premier. People like to ignore the production and say that Peppers' greatness comes from the other things he does, but nothing else he does isn't anything that other great DE's don't do. It's not like he's been a freak in coverage, he hasn't been a top 5 pass rusher, he's never excelled against the run, and while he has drawn double teams and created that presence on the field, he has never been strong enough to beat them consistently.

Some will say that you gameplan "around" him, but that isn't a trait that is unique to him. Most offenses do that, they attack the side of the field with the weaker players. Julius isn't unique in his ability to do that, it's rather commonplace.
