Why I hate this matchup w/ Chicago

you do realize Cam's worst throws were when it was sunny and down right hot? When he was trying to make throws in good weather against the 2 deep S looks?

the rain from the looks of things the rain saved Cam and aided in his win.

I for one, am so tired about hearing about this "2 deep safety" look...

It has absolutely nothing to do with his struggles whatsoever!! Did u guys watch the fuggin game or what!?

^He was missing WIDE open recovers... Plain and simple. ^He was sailing balls well over their heads.

That is NOT due to a "2 deep safety" look. It's due to him being off and struggling with his accuracy.

If teams want to keep using that "2 deep safety" scheme I'd fuggin absolutely love it! The receivers were wide open! He'll make those throws in the future.

holes in a cover 2 d is the seams, middle of the field, and putting multiple guys in the 2 high safety zones. with that being said our TE's must get open on the seams, plus i like our chances with our WRs (smitty) being in 1vs1 coverage with a bear safety. those check downs to the flat will not be there because this scheme puts the CBs in the flat and they will be baiting Cam to throw it their all day.

another thing is ball security bears d is know for punching and stripping guys. last year game, i went to i seen a lot of guys wide open down field and we must take advantage of those opportunities sunday.

I couldn't agree more; If Cam is hitting those open receivers then we are getting first down after first down after first down. I don't think very much "rattles" Cam, the only reason I can think he was off before the monsoon hit was possibly the fact that it was the first game we were expected to win. Could be wrong, but I def. like the match-up this week.

Despite Chicago's receivers being unable to catch consistently, they have the speed to really hurt us. All it will take is a quick slant to Hester or Knox and for Pugh to be off somewhere picking his nose and not defending over the top, and they are gone.

Luckily for us I hear they have their own Pugh starting if Harris can't. It may be a shoot out.

The problem was not the Jags defense, recievers were open early and often, including before it began to rain, I was there. The Jags pass defense was a total failure, as we had recievers running around open all over the field, but Cam wasn't seeing them on some plays, and others he was missing the throws badly. Our passing offense is incredible, and recievers are almost always open.

The Bears will be counting on Cam throwing terrible passes which will result in INTs. Of course they'll also be looking to strip our recievers after the catch. The Jags and Bears defense works best against teams that can't run the ball well, and have a QB who lacks accuracy. The interesting part is that our team doesn't really have an identity yet. How will Cam play against the Bears? Who the hell knows? Will the running game come alive? So many question marks with this team, it's hard to predict what might happen.

I believe he was holding the ball too long as well, and also his footwork was kind of sloppy because he wasn't moving WITH the offensive line.

i don't care how fast their receivers are...they don't have nearly the time necessary to get into position b/c of that piss poor oline.

I think Cam mentioned in one of the post game interviews that the Jags defense didn't give him the looks he was expecting. That would make sense as far as how the game played out early on. He looked out of sync and was struggling to find the open recievers, or hit them. Then god flooded BOA, and we had a big mess.

Thier offense doesn't scare me at all.

Keep Forte under wraps and you shut them down.

Exactly. But that has been easier said than done for this defense. Beanie Wells, James Starks, and MJD have faired pretty well so far.

And Forte had a field day against us last year.

As for the offense, I don't think we have to be perfect, just patient. In addition to be inaccurate in the first half last week, he was also impatient to start the game.

Not a totally bad thing b/c I like having a QB that goes for the jugular, but Chicago's defense is predicated on bending but not breaking.

Atlanta made a lot of mistakes week 1 trying to throw it down the field early and then falling behind late and having to throw and Chicago teed off on Matt Ryan.

If the defense can stop Forte, and pressure Cutler, I think we stand a good chance.

And then on offense, just be patient and take what the defense gives.

He was just having a bad day it appeared.

well that ultimately is my question....but without Newton seeing those type looks we don't know if it was just him being off or him having more difficulty w/ the more conservative defensive front.

He saw some more conservative looks in the preseason as well.
