So it's frustrating being one of the best 1-4 teams ever right? Yes of course it is, but it has a huge benefit. We're going to end up getting a MUCH better draft pick than we actually deserve based off how good the team is. It's absolutely in the realm of possibility that we're going to have a chance to get either Alshon Jeffery or Justin Blackmon.

Look into my crystal ball and picture the 2012 Panthers with Cam Newton with a year under his belt and a full regular offseason complete with OTAs. Picture him getting Alshon Jeffery or Justin Blackmon lining up with Steve Smith and a returning David Gettis in addition to Shockey/Olsen/DeAngelo/Stewart. Now watch Beason run onto the field with Ron Edwards and basically an extra draft pick in Brandon Hogan. Picture Ron Rivera who's had a full year to understand clock management.

We're all upset and this is the most pissed I've been after a loss since the Cardinals playoff game, but this is going to end up helping us long-term.

The draft looks to be offensive heavy in the top 10 picks in 2012 compared to defense, so that's what I'm going off. But you can substitute Jeffery/Blackmon for a great DT if you'd like.

trying to focus on silver linings is an absolute bitch when you're so emotionally invested in winning NOW (as is your quarterback) but sometimes you have to step back and look at things rationally, and put the future ahead of the present.

Our draft could go so many different directions at the moment, hoping by the end of the season we will know our biggest need. Doubt it'll be WR.

I know its early for draft talk, but still, this is very relevant. If Alshon Jeffrey is available, I say we get him right away. This offense needs a big, dominating, young WR, I think Alson Jeffrey can not be ignored if we end up picking in the top five or so. Even though we need help at DT (I know Ron will be there, so maybe we just need one DT) and CB, can not ignore a dominating weapon for Cam.

Yes. We could use a receiver with a Calvin Johnson skill set. Our offense would be unstoppable for years. This would complete 1 side of the ball.
