The invisible Panther

We have at least a couple of threads a week about uniforms. We discuss third-string wide receivers, off-the-street pickups to plug in here or there, and next year's potential draft picks.

This guy gets no Sports Center highlights. No podcasts. No tweets. No post-game interviews. Nothing. And yet he plays every offensive snap without missing a beat.

So just want to give a shout out for Travelle Wharton, for showing up to work every day, doing his job without fanfare, and doing it at a consistently high level.

Yes, he is paid nicely, but in my book he deserves it.

The left side of the line doesn't have many questions (although Gross isn't always as good a run blocker as I'd like) and of course there's Kalil in the middle. Our current right side is adequate, but not as good as the left.

Make the right side of the line as good as the left and we have a real foundation to build on.

    • For this reason, BY will not play against the Packers. They will find a reason for him to stay on the bench again.
    • Well he quickly deflected the question about Rico's "almost 7 YPC." He is very polished and he transitioned well to non-answers and side steps. I can see why a guy like him was able to pull the wool over on guys like Tepper.
    • 31st rushing D and 8 carries by Rico is coaching.  Rico is easily the best offensive weapon right now and it’s not really close.  *literally everyone knows Dalton is washed, horrible and shouldn’t even be a backup QB.   Drive 1? ZERO carries.  Coaching.  Drive 2 - Rico was playing great.   Did Canales lean into that or go for “balance”? Coaching. Drive 3 - ZERO carries.  Coaching  Drive 4 - 1 carry and opted for Jimmy Horn gadget rush (you can’t stick  with the Horn repetitive gadget runs each week and that’s not a better idea than getting Rico going)  Drive 5 - basically Dalton heavy as the half expired.  I don’t need to watch a game to know it’s coaching.  The gameplan wasn’t about setting Rico up to go off on a trash rush D.  It was bullshit harmony balance of the rush and the pass and making Hubbard feel good.
