Who's in the house?

Okay I get the Mascot thing, but wtf is with our music selection?

The NFL and the massive corporations that sponsor every aspect of our stadium experience have a meticulously crafted image to keep up with.

Say ten people in the primo seats near the 50 in the lower bowl dumped their PSLs because some F-bombs got dropped during a pre-game song.

PSLs: 20K * 10

Season tickets: 1090 * 10

God knows how many hot dogs, beers, t-shirts, other poo: whatever

$210,900 gone. People who would actually want that over, say, that lame "Panthers In the House" intro song aren't likely to be able to afford those PSLs. Corporate buyers might scoop the seats up, but that presents other problems that people here like to complain about. Is it really worth it?

Yeah I'm sure the actual power base of the stadium goers-rich old people and corporate PSL owners who have the most expensive seats and buy overpriced alcohol and concessions week after week-would be just fine with the eye patch bikini-wearing stripper cheerleaders and gangsta rap/grindcore soundtrack the 20-25 year olds buying single game tickets in the upper deck want.

It ain't gonna happen.

Also Hell's Bells is the most played out football "get fired up" song in this universe and probably several alternate ones as well.

both posts nailed it

Mascots are meant to look cartoonish js

But I guess you suggest they bring a wild Panther onto the field and let it maul people so it won't be "gay"

no I am suggesting we bring out a wild panther, choose a random fan of the opposing team from the seats and allow the panther to hunt down that bastard before the game.

guarantee you there will be fewer opposing fans in the building the week after.

granted, half the seats might be empty, but still.

Yeah Sirr Purr is for the kids. Adults complaining about mascots...that ranks up there with new uniform threads.

AC/DC is played out period, but I still like For Those About To Rock.

I actually like the entrance song, I think the only problem is they don't turn it up loud enough. ITs like someone rolls a speaker out on the field and plays it on half volume. No wonder the crowd doesn't get pumped up. Maybe revamp it a little bit but it was made for the team. I tried a year ago to get a copy from the guy that does the music at the games and I was told they could not allow any copies out. So they've got it locked down. It fits well with the environment of the game, its got a good rock/hip hop feel to it. You go to a college game and they've got music blaring and the bands playing at full force so no wonder they enjoy the experience.
