NFL Network guys starting to mock

Recommended Posts

They have 8 mocks up right now that were submitted either yesterday or today. 7 of the 8 mocks have Carolina taking Still, Coples or Kirkpatrick. The odd one out has the Panthers taking Reiff. Five of them are complete mocks, the other three are top 10. Only two have Brockers in the first round. One of them at 12 and the other at 32.

Edit: 6 of the 8 have Richardson in the top 10. The other two have him at 11th and 17th.

Still would be the worst first round pick this franchise has made in a long time. Take it from somebody who has actually been scouting him throughout the course of the entire season over the turds who waited until season's end to decipher what our needs are then looked looked up the nearest website to see who the "top" DT on the board was.

Why do you say that. Just curious i'm trying to to get a idea on why so many are down on Still. I too have been watching him all season and feel the opposite.

What stuck out to me the most was that Still didnt do anything against Wisconsin who always has a NFL caliber offensive line. Thats not a good sign for when it comes to going up against real NFL offensive lines. I was turned off then, and i hear he has injury issues and i dont think he is gonna be much of a pass rusher at the next level either.

    • BPA in draft all the way. Address your biggest needs in free agency.
    • Exactly.  You let him play out next season and continue to develop Thorton.  Jackson’s earned his next contract, but his age and the risk of tying up such a large portion of the payroll at one position leads me to believe that we’ll let him walk. In all likelihood, we’ll draft another CB, or two, and bring in some journeymen to fill the roster void, between now and the start of the 2027 season.  That’ll create more balance financially across the roster enabling us to invest in other areas.
    • As far as the NFCS … I think this division will be hotly contested the next couple of years.   I am tending to pay more respect to both Atlanta and the Saints n terms of how strong they will be moving forward, than not.    I am mixed on Ryan but think they have a decent roster to start with. I don’t think he blundered hiring Stefanski. And that offense can be dangerous with a QB. Plus, defense is arrow up. No 1st round pick, WB issues will dull their effectiveness. Question is, to what degree?   I think Moore is going to be a good HC and can overcome tape that people have on Shough. They need a lot but they were playing with people. Just the way you want to see all the way to the end.    Not sure about Tampa they have Mayfield but I don’t think they can maintain their success and Bowles is not going to last much longer. They have to go through all that. Gonna be tough once it starts. Might already have started.    For us I feel pretty good about Morgan. But less so about our offense, we have some short term RB and OL issues and those things are critical given what we are working with at QB.  Overall, mixed. Like a lot of what I see but some major question marks remain.
