I think theres a chance we could still get Claiborne.

If you look at the draft in logical way, with some very realistic yet surprising picks like how it always plays out on draft day. IF we get that 8 spot though.

1. IND, Luck

2. STL, Kalil

3. MIN, Blackmon

4. CLE, RG3

5. TB, Richardson

6. WAS, Oline - Reiff or Martin could get ranked even after the combine.

7. JAX, Surprises everyone with a DL player or Receiver. Jefferey or Wright.

8. CAR, Mo Claiborne

Its that simple.

CB isn't a position teams generally take very high in the draft so if any of the top players were to drop I could see it being Claiborne. Even if Miami gets the 8th pick I doubt they go CB.

Really, outside of Kalil and Luck I don't think there's any player that's 100% certain to be gone when we pick.

Us getting Claiborne would rely on TB taking Richardson, and I think they would be foolish to take Richardson over Claiborne.

If I had my choice between Claiborne and Brockers, I'd take Claiborne. But other than Claiborne, Kalil or maybe Blackmon my next pick would be Brockers.

To sum up what the scout said yesterday while on with Zarzour and James....

Brockers will be gone by the time our pick comes around. There is a premium on 6'6'' 300lb linemen who can move. He and Coples are going to be top 10 picks.

Claiborne is the ideal corner and he doesn't think he'll be there either. Kirkpatrick is a smarter player because he played for Saban but Claiborne has the better upside and there is a talent gap between the two. Combine that with DKs recent citation and IDT he's going top 10.

Blackmon will be gone in the top 5.

If all of his predictions come true then our pick is going to be Coples. IMO there is no way we reach for a guy like Kirkpatrick when a premium position player like Coples is sitting there. As long as he doesn't blow the combine then I think he's the pick (assuming the aforementioned Claiborne, Blackmon, Brockers are not there).

Tampa Bay will not take Richardson, lol. They are losing Ronde Barber and Talib (probably).. they are definitely taking a CB. Kirkpatrick is more likely than Richardson. Also, the Skins will not take a RT with the #6 overall pick. They just drafted their franchise LT, 2 years ago in Trent Williams, and he has a done a very good job.

Trent Williams got suspended for the rest of the season for substance abuse. They could go Oline or WR also. Also the wildcard is Tampa Bay.

the fact that people are saying there is no way Claiborne will be there are stupid. People fall every year. Now is it likely Claiborne will be there? At this very early stage of the draft process no it isn't, but remember we still have the combine, interviews and individual workouts. We have a long way to go before the top fivish players are set

Hell at this point last year most people thought Fairley was a better prospect than Dareus.

And Bowers was a lock for the top 5 with a decent shot of going #1 overall.

All this poo (sans Luck, Kalil, RG3) will change a ton in the next few months.
