Because unlike alot fans that will just be so against one guy that they absolutely shut out the possibility of drafting them, I like to look into players that fans seem to think would be a great fit and try to find a way to jump on the wagon

Brockers is a well-balanced player and his low sack total this season—two sacks in 14 games—can be misleading. When watching LSU play, he was a player who showed up consistently. He was relentless with his pass rush and almost always demanded a double-team, which lays further credence to my previous claim. You don't put two of your best blockers on a player that is not a disruptive pass-rusher, and we saw that throughout the season.

When facing double-teams in the run game, Brockers excelled even more so than he did at pressuring the quarterback. He maintained great balance and held up well, even splitting the double-team at times—something we saw occur on multiple occasions in the SEC Championship.

Brockers has an elite mix of strength, relentless effort and size that could prove too tempting for Carolina. His stock will likely see a rise as he gets his chance to prove his talent at the combine and at his pro day, and this could prove to be the smart pick once the draft rolls around.

Brockers really just came out of nowhere, and doesn't really have a cool highlight tape or anything made for him. Thats why fans like myself have had a hard time hoping on the wagon. As we near the combine though we'll start learning more about our potential first round pick.

The point of this wasn't because I thought it was "credible draft insight" It's just an outsiders opinion, and someone who studied Brockers, unlike some random poster hyping him up with highlights from one game.

This is one of the latest write ups on Brockers and I just thought I'd get it out there. I thought it summed up his style of play and his potential pretty well.

    • If he is BPA, then yes. I am a believer in Dan at this point and hope that he doubles on his strat from last draft.  T-Mac wasnt the biggest need, but at a first round position, over-drafting for need is bad.  We had XL coming back (we didnt know he'd catch rabid Racoon Disease in the offseason and forget how to be even an acceptable WR), Thielen coming back (yes...old AF thielen was a 1k reciever) and Coker coming off a surprising season...if you asked RIGHT AT THIS SAME POINT LAST OFFSEASON if we should draft Defense or T-Mac where we were last year, I guarantee 70-80% would have said "WHY THE fug ARE WE TAKING A RECIEVER!?!?!".  We're getting close, but you build a winning roster by Drafting studs in the first round and depth after, and Studs dont come from "Well we needed a Long Snapper", they come from "I dont care if we don't need a Receiver, That dude is THE DUDE"
    • I honestly don't care about NBA talent. Our last championship team was light on it. The team that went to the title game was light on it. I wanna win college games. I haven't watched a full NBA game in probably 15 years. I barely remember one and doners, whether their ours or elsewhere. It's one of the reasons why my hatred of duke has cooled. Their players don't hang around long enough for me to even know their names.
    • Should hopefully pick up a half-game on the Sixers and Heat tonight. Also possibly the Hawks and Magic. 🐝🐝🐝
