These people divide into groups within their countries. These groups been fighting each other for hundreds of years all the way back to tribe years. If you think a group of people from western countries going to change anything, you are fooling yourself. Its like telling LA gangs to stop fighting and shake hands. Ain't going to happen. Its a reality. Only people of these trouble nations can stop this.

How is Hitler even slightly related on what's going on in Africa? Germany lost its freedom and large territory after world war I. Hitler and Germany retaliated. They wanted their freedom and land back. That's why they attacked Poland first, it used to be part of Germany.

Okay, I need to clarify my argument. I'm arguing agains US military/government involvement in the situation, like many Americans are calling for.

As we saw in somewhat relatable situations in Iraq and Afghanistan, getting the leader of the regime is only the surface of things. It's so much deeper than that.

We gotta stay out of there. I support creating awareness for it and potentially sparking the governments of the area to act up and take him out themselves, go for it. But foreign involvement? NOT the answer.

The Arab Spring occurred because actual citizens of the countries involved took a stand and were willing to be tortured or killed in order to change things. They used social media, but didn't rely on a bunch of American facebookers sharing some hipster dad's video one million times.

Child soldiers are a terrible problem, but only someone with their head buried in the ground for the last decade or two is unfamiliar with the problem. Major motion pictures have been made centered around the subject, and still no one gives enough of a poo to do anything. If Leonardo fuging DiCaprio, King of the Bleeding Hearts can't get anyone in the US to give a poo, then how is this guy? They are after all, appealing to the same 'slacktivist' demographic.

It's sad, but until the people of Uganda and elsewhere are willing to do the fighting for themselves and stop allowing themselves to be bullied, it's going to continue, whether we offer aid or not.

Well I personally think this is a big deal. I took a children in war and conflict class in school and we talked about the lord's resistance army and it's just a terrible terrible situation.

Buuuut, I'm not sure what America's involvement should be.

Back when I was in school, we use to get together and player soccer at uncc. And these African guys would come to join us. We had so much fun until 2 of em found out they were from rival tribes back in Africa and they almost killed each other. We had to separate them and told em not to come back. They lived in US for sometime and still hated each other to death.
