If you thought the Panthers were going to bring in mario williams or any other top FA this year you haven't been paying attention at all to this team lately. I understand hoping we would but realistically?

I didn't expect us to make a splash, but damn we are boring to the point we don't even get mentioned among speculation! All and all I'm fine being a smarter team.

I think we can improve with the draft and not sign any big name free agents and still improve our team. I have a feeling we are going to sign a few players who will improve special teams and I'm crossing my fingers but maybe one or two of the guys we sign for special teams will end up becoming a decent starter or a key reserve. I think we are looking to improve our team through the draft and through cheap free agent players. We will improve our special teams through free agency. I think we will get at least two starters from the draft probably a corner or safety and probably an offensive linemen from free agency. I don't think we will sign or draft any defensive tackles or offensive linemen with our first/second round picks because we have enough young talent and players coming off injuries that could do the job. Back up linebacker, safety, and corner as well as special teams are the positions we need fixed that are not on the current roster in my opinion of course.

I just wish they would at least call Mario in for a courtesy visit. Let us know the front office are at least thinking championship thoughts.

If you make $30K/year, what is the point of spending half a tank of gas to go look at BMW's you could never, ever, afford?

      Trade up for a project was dumb, he's gonna be 25 next month. By the time you're deciding on whether he's worth the 5th year option or a big contract you're already gonna be thinking about moving on soon either way.

      I mean this is legit AF statement....you don't spend that draft capital on a project just like you don't trade up for an injured RB either, which was done in the same draft.  That draft IMO was a necessary evil for DM to learn from his mistakes (I think he did but some may not). Also I have to mention I'm a big Coker fan and think getting him as an UDFA was obv a steal.  Coker is the better WR2 at this point as Legette and its not even debatable unfortunately.  Give him year 3 but don't expect much from him.  Continue in the offseason with adding as much talent and competition on the roster as possible including WR.  Or just trade his ass for peanuts and continue to build roster by any means.......

      Losing him was a huge loss. Look at how the Bears went from a 5 win team to now a 11 win team. The Lions offensive line is bad this year, secondary is bad and Campbell going for it on 4th down all the time has cost them games instead of taking the Field Goals. Goff is inconsistent as well.
