There are quite a few regular posters on this board from Boone, like myself, believe it or not. Just like any other player on this team from a local school, AE has retarded fan boys that show up randomly just to back him. There was a retard that went around neg repping anyone who said anything that he perceived as negative about Clowney, there for a while.

AE is the most popular athlete for locals that Boone has ever had and while some of his supporters might be annoying, people on this board over dramatize their hate for his supporters because of their hate for the pick.

I was hoping i wasn't too 2010 with the human centipede reference

I thought you were too 2010 putting AE's fans on the ballot. When is the last time they were a problem? Who even remembers? Yet Koochie fans derailed that Beason thread yesterday. Easy vote.

If you are referring to my post, I would love to know how... there were literally NO Carolina Panther fans who lived in Boone or the surrounding area until Edwards was drafted by the Panthers and most of them lost interest when they realized he wasn't going to play much.

There is absolutely nothing ignorant about that.

I was attending college in Boone during our Super Bowl run and I can assure you the town was buzzing. There was parties and fireworks going off all through the playoffs. In 2005 a large group of us caravaned to Atlanta for a "win and get in" game on the last day of the season. There are plenty of people in Boone that love the Panthers dearly. But to be fair there are many students from ATL and both Panther games and Falcon games are shown on cable in that area.

I understand he hasn't been successful, but I root for AE to do well.

Over the course of my time at the Huddle, I have also come to understand that Panthro enjoys posting certain things solely to get the masses riled up.

Looks like he was successful once again...

As someone who lives in Boone, This is a lie.

Everyone that was/is a football fan i knew/know was/are either a redskin fan or a panther fan, i never met a local that was a fan of another team that was a football fan.

And it wasn't like we were becoming Panthers fans because of Armanti, we were already fans, We just enjoyed watching him so much in college it was like a dream come true for us since we can go down to Charlotte and watch him now.

    • Per Bill Barnwell  Vikings bring back a familiar face Vikings get: WR Adam Thielen Panthers get: 2026 sixth-round pick, 2027 seventh-round pick A reunion between Thielen and his former team seems too easy. The Vikings are struggling with injuries at wide receiver and a potential Jordan Addison suspension. The Panthers want to see what they have with their younger wideouts, and Hunter Renfrow's emergence in camp as a potential fourth or fifth option could squeeze a roster spot for Thielen, who doesn't play special teams. The problem is Thielen's $6.25 million base salary. The Vikings obviously would prefer the Panthers cut the 34-year-old and pick him up for free, but Carolina already paid Thielen a $1.5 million roster bonus earlier in the offseason, suggesting it expected to have him. His salary isn't yet guaranteed, but it will become so if he's on the roster in Week 1, leaving the Panthers until then to make a decision. If he does get released, he isn't likely to get anything close to $6.25 million from another team, so he also is facing some uncertainty. All sides involved probably would need to give a bit to make a mutually advantageous deal work. The Panthers would eat $1.5 million of Thielen's contract, getting two of the three picks the Vikings got from the Jets in the Harrison Phillips trade in return. Thielen would take a $1 million pay cut in return for having the remaining $3.8 million guaranteed. The Vikings cleared out almost exactly that much when they made the Phillips trade, allowing them to absorb what's left of Thielen's contract as part of the deal. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/46053274/nfl-preseason-trades-2025-team-offers-players-draft-picks-contracts
    • From JoeBucsFan. Teams don't usually waste 2nd round picks like that. Kind of sounds like they think he just doesn't belong in the NFL.
