Falcons Offered Spot On Hbo's Hard Knocks

Per NFL.com

HBO has asked the

Atlanta Falcons

to star in the next installment of "Hard Knocks,"

ESPN reported Wednesday

.

ESPN cited multiple sources in reporting the offer, though HBO declined to comment.

Produced by NFL Films and HBO, "Hard Knocks" is a weekly series that follows one NFL team through training camp and the preseason.

FoxSports.com reported earlier Wednesday that

HBO wanted the New York Jets to be featured on this year's show, but coach Rex Ryan is against the idea. The Jets were featured on the show in 2010.

A spokesman for the

Jacksonville Jaguars confirmed to " the Florida Times-Union that the Jaguars are interested in appearing on the show, but added, "we don’t know what HBO's plans are."

"Hard Knocks" didn't air in 2011 because of the NFL lockout.

This would be great because it would hopefully cause drama and corrupt their locker room and, we'd get to see more of the Panthers the weeks they play us. Thoughts?

    • You are right. At the same time I don’t think people are watching games going come on Bryce put it on the ground or sail it OB or whatever. They just have trouble seeing him turning his 3 or four or five top games of 2025 into the weekly standard outing. Which you expect for the kind of money he will ask for (speaking for myself anyway).
    • In terms of comparing Pickett and Young's arm talent it's basically a push at best. Pickett is sitting at 6.2 yards per pass attempt for his career while Bryce sits at 6.0 Last season Bryce was 6.3 in yards per pass attempt. Only Justin Fields Spencer Rattler (both 6.2) Kyler Murray (6.0) 41 year old Joe Flacco (6.0) 44 year old Phillip Rivers (5.9) rookie Cam Ward (5.9) and Tyrod Taylor (5.8) had less pass yards per attempt than Bryce Young in his third season as a starter. Folks going around acting as if it is beyond the pale to say Pickett might have a better arm than Young are living in an alternate reality. You can choose to not believe your own eyes after 46 games but everyone else will acknowledge reality and move forward accordingly.
