I don't know if it's something you can search but I have said this every time the discussion of a Panther being on the Madden cover has come up since the board first started, so call me a troll if you want but it's my honest opinion.

an Example of this every time I buy a Madden game before the season the Panthers have sucked, it got so bad that my Dad told me to never touch the game again, and I haven't.

I don't believe in a madden curse. I do, however, believe in Football Godz. After the Madden cover it all depends on the player's & team's attitudes. If it's all me, me, me we're in trouble. I don't think Newton or Rivera or Chud will let that happen. So go for it!

Then, too, the 2012 season is going to be brilliant. The Saints have the Football Godz' full attention for the entire season. However, the refs will have us playing flag football I think. :(

I can remember, though, that Panther Fan Nation freaked out over this in 2005. So be prepared.

Personally, I say put Cam on the cover because there is no curse, but its pretty weird to see what has happened to everyone one that has been on the cover. Its always been my understanding that curses are not selective though? For instance, Red Sox fans thought they were cursed, but have since won two world series titles so they put that nonsense to bed. So if this is/was a curse, how come it it isn't 100% effective every single year?
