Goodbye Huddle, I'm Disappointed In You

Recommended Posts

I just like to debate and argue, I'll even argue for poo I don't agree with, especially if the person representing the opposing argument is awash with stupidity. I find it enjoyable, besides this site is FOR debate. This place isn't intended to be a Panther homer circle jerk.

Is it too much to ask for intelligent minds to discriminate between threads? Not all are meant to be taken literally. Not all are meant to be argued with. Some are just for info. Some are just for humor. Some are to be debated. Some are for homers. Some are for haters.

I guess some, if not all, are for assholes.

This is my take, and I am sticking to it.

For what it's worth, I didn't debate anything in the "Smith is the best player" thread. I did, however, call one person out (who WAS debating in it) for having an asinine argument.

But honestly, If you don't want your thread to be taken seriously, state that it's not supposed to be. Don't make some retarded statement and follow it up with "I don't care what anyone says", because that's just asking to be ripped apart.

Charlotte, a city full of out-of-towners supporting the god damn Patriots, Steelers, and severely lacking in homegrown die hard fans, makes for a thin fan base. I remember the first day I found the Huddle. I thought AWESOME! Finally, a place I could go where people truly loved the Carolina Panthers.

Well, I've tired of what people on here consider a good fan. Everyone acts like the next damn

John Clayton as if the most insightful analysis of the linebacker situation shows how much you care. Or who can get the latest news fastest while carefully avoiding being number 2 cause then you are just a piece of dick. Or stupid sh*t like b*tch about how "mean" fans are in Atlanta and Philly. Waa waa.

To be fair, people can post some good sh*t sometimes. It's easily the best place to get information on the Panthers especially in Africa where getting on NFL.com is like trying to suck molasses through a coffee straw. Where I lose it is when comments are graded on how well they can remove any emotion and love for our team. When someone puts up a post asking to show some love for Steve Smith, the best player in the NFL, and the first 8 posts are about how hes not even the best WR in the NFC, NFC South, ok maybe the Panthers, there is something wrong with this place. You just can't take it, it bothers you because, hey, Steve Smith isn't really the best WR. So that's what you focus on instead of what a mutherf*cking badass he is and clearly the best player in the NFL. Some of you talk about being a fan like raising a child by pointing out its flaws so it can grow from its mistakes. The Panthers are the best team in the NFL because they are the Panthers and nobody else. Sorry if I didn't back that up with links.

Enjoy competing over fake pie with your amateur thoughts on Pickles' future. Meanwhile, I'm getting on youtube to see some Morgan highlights. Dude was a beast. Don't want to forget it.

P.S. Some of you guys find the hottest avatars and banners. I will never forget you.

I agree and I'm disappointed as well, I said it yesterday

Smh

lol at people leaving because the huddle isn't a bunch of mindless homers that think every player on the team is the best in the NFL and sucking Hurney's shlong at anything he does. It's like we should all be happy at the multiple Super Bowl trophies we have in fantasy land instead of just the 3 winning seasons out of 10 in the real world.

    • Not exactly sure that is an honest assesment of the talent he had to work with that year. Olsen had over 1100 yards that season making the PB, Stewart had close to 1100 total yards also going to the PB. He had Kalil at C who went to the PB, Trai Turner at RG who also went to the PB, and Michael Oher at LT who played well enough that the Panthers offered him a new contract the following year. I wouldn't call that a trash OL. He also played with a defense that was stacked with talent as well.   "The thing we are doing better this time around is actually surrounding our #1 overall draft pick QB with talent vs. asking him to completely carry the offense. I just hope that effort is leading us to realize that the guy isn't even good enough to get carried." Please.... Did you not read the list of names Newton had to work with his rookie season. I guess you missed it so I will post it again for you... Steve Smith (PB), Greg Olsen (PB), Brandon LaFell, Ted Ginn JR, Deangelo Williams (PB), Jonathan Stewart (PB), Jordan Grossn (PB), Ryan Kalil (PB) on the offensive side and then he had Luke Kuechly (PB), Jon Beason (PB), Thomas Davis (PB), Star Lotulelei, Kawann Short ( PB ),Charles Johnson, Greg Hardy (PB ), Mike Mitchell, Josh Norman (PB)  For comparison, here is who Young had his first year.  Chuba Hubbard, DJ Chark, Jonathan Mingo, Adam Thielen, Hayden Hurst, Ikem Ekwonu, Chandler Zavala, Bradley Bozeman, Nash Jensen and Taylor Morton. Not a single PB player on the list and most of them aren't even playing any longer. Additionally, his HC was fired during the season and the defense was as bad as the offense.  You might not like the comparison but saying Newton had to completely carry the offense isn't exactly fair to the 4 pro bowlers on offense who played with him that year.
    • That's why I say we have to keep looking. Even if you believe Bryce is the guy, KP and Grier are not and who knows if King is anything more than a gimmick player, we should be active in improving our 2nd QB spot. Season ending injuries happen, and you don't just want to roll over and give it up. How many starters have we seen come from the ranks of backup? Having 2 potential starting QBs is one of the best problems we could have.
    • Eh, it’s more on how bad the refs are. Some of these calls against the canes are no calls
