still would be good to see what reasoning they have for saying that. what assumptions are they making that would make RB a weak position? sounds like another brilliant mind like the one who said that tolbert helps out a weak RB position.

Stewart gone and Williams getting older. The concept of predicting 2015 is cheesey but that part makes sense if you are.

Anyone who thinks they are talking about us "upgrading" our RB corp in 2015 just earned themselves a sweet pass to my ignore list for being mentally handicapped.

Do you literally need someone to draw this out for you stick figures or something?

Please just start with reading the introductory paragraph. Don't hurt yourself trying to figure out how to put yourself on ignore.

Good Lord

i'm not going to assume that stewart is gone. not a safe bet at all. doesn't matter if keeping him and williams and tolbert around doesn't make sense or isn't feasible financially in some people's minds.

in 2015 it's very likely that we have all 3 guys here.

Will they be good in 2015 is the question...who cares if they are here

considering how the load is/will be shared between ball carriers i can't see enough wear and tear happening on them to cause a hit in their ability to produce. i see very little reason that they would be any less effective than they are now.

Not a bad idea for an article, but they put almost no work into it.

Make some assumptions about young players, good and bad. Predict where they focus in the draft. Don't just talk about Cam, Smith and Kuechly and leave it at that.

Why people would pay for that site is beyond me. As they say, there's one born every day.

It literally speaks in the present context multiple times in that article. Open up the link and it does the same for the Packers.

You're an idiot if you think it's saying we need to upgrade it in 2015. It's talking about now. It literally spoke in the sentence before about the perception that the young WR's on our roster aren't actually young, but supposedly just not talented.

God almighty how stupid can some of you be.

This post bedeviled the hell outta' me. I do not know whether to be thankful you did not quote me. Amused at your self importance. Incredulous at our ability to be so flippant with words like idiot and stupid. Insulted by your total lack of respect. Or grareful for the chance at a rant. This post is the perfect example of how to win friends and influence people.

Having said that. This IS the interwebz, so carry on.

As to the OP, we really have no young stars. In three years this very well could come back to bite us on the ass. Or, some of our young guys will develop and be in the star mix. And hell, let's throw in some decent draft picks as well. So, I can see how this could be an up in the air type topic.

As long as Cameron is still our QB, we should be fine. Our kids will grow, we will add draft picks, and we probably going to add a FA or two as well.

You cannot down my giddy by bringing the future into the equation. And GOOOOO CATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You guys are getting off topic. This article literally said we need to upgrade our RB Corp.

Let's try to get back to that.

The article is looking at a teams core.....youth rules in this discussion. Cam for example...he will be 26. That is a GREAT age for a QB.

In 2015....

DeAngelo will be 32.

Tolbert will turn 30.

Stewart will be will be 28.

We will need to of upgraded our backfield by then. What is there to talk about? Pending what happens with Stewart...no one on the roster will be lined up in the backfield in 2015.

Our core playmakers are old outside of Newton. New additions are needed going forward....just like implied

Well we are in great shape for the next 10 years because of

Newton

Newton

Newton

If he does not deliver as we hope we are in trouble.

Just look at the 08-11 drafts, 09 and 10 the only players still on the team doing anything is Godfrey and Martin, and I think we all agree they are not exactly pro bowler. 08 got us stew but unless Otah finally heals up not much else. I guess we can still hope one of our 11 3rd round DTs steps up, otherwise not much in 11 either (besides Cam of course!).

So pretty much every starting defensive player we have is either old (not mean they are slowing down yet but at least means they are not playing on rookie deals) or replacable. I know you cannot have a probowler at every position but I would agree the 1 cb, ss, fs, 1 de and 2 dt are all playing at a level on which any cheap fs signing could be an upgrade.

I think we can be a playoff team in 2013-2015 thanks to the top 1-5 offense Cam will provide as long as the defense is at least top 20. Problem is I am not sure they will not be worse.

It pisses me the fug off, luckily I have a neighbor who has direct tv and I can watch our game at his house. But, it still pisses me the fug off.

Do you actually get to go over and watch, or do you just use high powered binoculars from your living room? LOL!
