Well, not trying to be an ass, but, he knew of the audio, and...? This is really not surprising. I am sure that a lot of information came out after the poo hit the fan. I am not going to hate on him for trying to do damage control, though sometimes I believe a person can take it too far (meaning, that sometimes you have to admit that there were wrongs and move on). This knowledge would perhaps be more pertinent if we had an actual proven timeline for all the events.
