The hyperbole was way over the top. I expect us to challenge for the playoffs this year but throwing around the dynasty moniker to a team that hasn't been in the playoffs or won their division since 2008 is too much. I am drinking the koolaid to some extent but not chugging it like La Canfora.

It will be interesting to see how Cam responds this year to media lining up for a swallow of cammy cam juice. Last year he responded to the, "Cam is a scam of a NFL QB," with a, "I hear ya. Fuel for the fire," which he then did what he did. Will the love derail him?

I fear that he might become complacent after winning 6 superbowls.

I loves me some Carolina (or Carolina player) nut hugging...mostly because I do not believe in jinxes, hoodoo, curses, being under the radar for the epic lulz, or any other such mechanism.

What I do not like is the term "dynasty" essentially hung on one player's head. It takes a LOT more than a transcendent athlete at QB to live up to that and most of it is on the management side of the game.

That said I'm going to read it again and revel in the nut hugging just a while longer.

Doubt it. Just as many people are throwing around that he's not a "winner" like The Golden Calf of Bristol or dalton. Cam is pissed he didn't make the playoffs and he's pissed he didn't win the madden cover. Who is to say Cam needs doubters to fuel his game? I mean he's had doubters his entire football career so we will only be able to know this once his game is undeniable.

and Matt Ryan continues to come up small and occasionally seems overwhelmed when the stage gets biggest.

let this resonate that Matt Ryan's clutch games came when refs swallowed whistles when Roddy White pushes off to make a play....

that would be the article I would write after having 2 or 3 drinks, bourbon on the rocks...

This cat runs like a receiver (or running back when required to run through someone), throws like John Elway, is built like a linebacker and is, pure and simple, one of the greatest athletes we have ever seen at any time playing any position. He also happens to play quarterback, the single most important position of any team sport in the history of modern athletics.

I fapped

    • Don't forget the young TEs, Coker, Etienne, and Jimmy Horn Jr! 😮 I'm amped to see how the team develops over the course of this upcoming season.
    • She must be doing tricks on that thang for Bill
    • No, the casual fan gets sucked into THIS^^^ kind of thinking, and it's so woefully incorrect that it's almost sad. The first is what I've said numerous times, NOTHING about non guaranteed contracts save the billionaire owners a single penny, because they still have to spend their cap floor, and the only reason teams ever don't spend the full limit, is to then roll it over into the next season to be able to spend more that year. But in the end, owners pay the same amount of money no matter what. The reverse is also the same, that the players in totality make the same amount of money as well, because in your example of Clowney not getting that money this year, it will go to another player, as the cap needs to be spent. And you say how we just cut Clowney after we gave him the 2 year contract, but everyone including Clowney's agent and himself, knew when it was signed, that it was more likely to be a 1 year contract than a 2 with how it was structured.  The 2nd year was just to be able to spread out the cap hit and he was always most likely going to end up getting traded or cut. It's why agents and players don't care about the total money in a contract, it's always and only been about the guaranteed money, as the years and overall value are meaningless, always have been, always will be.
