Who will be our number 3 WR?

I appears that the Panthers are searching far and wide for a guy that can step up and be that number 3 wr. By the sheer number of wrs he has brought in I feel this must be a top priority for the panthers and they are yet sold on Gettis.

Who would they like it to be?? Gettis......

Will he be ready coming off serious knee surgery? Hard to say but they are likely to ease him back. meanwhile it will give them plenty to see in the preseason with Adams, Edwards and a host of others. I would think this is a spot that is open to see who steps up.

Yeah I mentioned Edwards because from reports at minicamp he looked pretty good. Hard to say if it a flash in the pan or just a practice effect.

Gettis if his knee is good.

Agreed.

If it's not, best logic probably says Ajirotutu but I'll be interested to see if Pilaries steps up.

That's the positional answer, of course. In practical terms, I'd say our number three receiving threat will be Greg Olsen (or whoever's in the backfield).

    • KP is not a straight up carbon copy but they look awful close to me.  T
    • You are right. At the same time I don’t think people are watching games going come on Bryce put it on the ground or sail it OB or whatever. They just have trouble seeing him turning his 3 or four or five top games of 2025 into the weekly standard outing. Which you expect for the kind of money he will ask for (speaking for myself anyway).
    • In terms of comparing Pickett and Young's arm talent it's basically a push at best. Pickett is sitting at 6.2 yards per pass attempt for his career while Bryce sits at 6.0 Last season Bryce was 6.3 in yards per pass attempt. Only Justin Fields Spencer Rattler (both 6.2) Kyler Murray (6.0) 41 year old Joe Flacco (6.0) 44 year old Phillip Rivers (5.9) rookie Cam Ward (5.9) and Tyrod Taylor (5.8) had less pass yards per attempt than Bryce Young in his third season as a starter. Folks going around acting as if it is beyond the pale to say Pickett might have a better arm than Young are living in an alternate reality. You can choose to not believe your own eyes after 46 games but everyone else will acknowledge reality and move forward accordingly.
