Free Agent Upgrade Possibilities

From everything I hear, Otah is still not participating and he is working his way into the Rivera doghouse. I would be suprised if he even made the team at this point. It truly sounds like something didnt go as planned in his rehab.

Bell is servicable, at this point, he is the only reason I have hope. From UDFA to starter, with a full season, could come in very improved. Campbell, all the physical skills in the world if he could grasp the mental aspect. That is yet to be seen

Otah has been in the doghouse. Just isnt a Rivets guy.

Otah isn't at risk of getting cut. He is a a pro bowl caliber T when in the field AND cheap. If he can likely be ready....he pretty much automatically has a spot.

300 lb men really don't need to be busting their tail regardless this time of year. Otah shouldn't be doing tons with his history IMO

I disagree about Otah being pro bowl caliber. I don't believe he's ever been close to a top RT. Promising his first year, sure, but not a top tier guy.

I don't see this team doing much to upgrade other than in response to an injury.

I disagree. I know plenty of 300LB individuals who would not be cut out for the NFL. I know he is a big MFer, but he needs to be working his tail off in the gym right now and it is very appearant that he has not been doing that.

RT, CB, & DT are obviously the most in-the-dark/oh crap please don't get injured positions

I'd personally feel the most comfortable if we brought in one more body on the o-line more than anything. Rivera has stressed too many times how he is content with the development at CB & DT and I trust him with our defense.

I want to see if Kearse can emerge as a starter by the end of training camp to go with big old Ron. I'm just hoping Edwards is decent....its hard to see what he's truly gonna bring to the table or what type of effect he will have on that line. I'm wary but still optimistic.

With a motivated Hardy and Johnson at each end with Alexander, Applewhite, & Keiser...I'm really diggin DE for the time being...DT is just so in the dark its a wait and see type deal for me.

No FA signings for the time being though

People still think Clauaen can be traded? With a good camp? Lol

i have no idea why

Need to upgrade at TE IMO. Not deep enough. TE is more important than #2 WR

i think this is over looked as well. too much faith in someone who hasnt produced, but hey, that was Foxy's fault!

i like Kearse, but why would anyone want him to emerge as a starter over either one of our young DT's that were drafted, is beyound me.

I'd like for our third round guys to show why they were drafted. I'd like it if they earned the job, and kept it.

I do like Kearse, and feel he can be a part of this defense, even be a starter if need be, but that doesn't stop me from wanting the guys that were drafted to step up and be the guys.

I hear ya...I've got my fingers crossed on McClain

Plus, Fua needs to be able to play and potentially excel if Edwards ends up suffering another injury. With any of these guys it could take until 2013 to really come into to their own regardless. Hopefully one may catch a fast pace to starter material
