Anyone who thinks we will see much of the starters this weekend just aren't paying attention. The whole point of preseason is to narrow down the 90 guys who came to camp to our active roster size of 53. The excitement of preseason is to see the second and third team guys not the starters until at least the 3rd preseason game.

there are very few "starters" who should see more than one drive.

Our rookie LG, Bell, Luke, Ss may get some extra work.....but I don't want to see the other guys hardly at all.

And Steve Smith shouldnt play a snap. In any game IMO.

Didn't Beason battle a hamstring issue all last pre-season and it was speculated (whether correctly or incorrectly) that it lead to the Achilles injury?

Keep him off the field regardless.

He was battling a lingering achilles issue and then it just decided to snap. Beason had initially injured his achilles during the offseason that year.

We may need to Beason out of the Preseason games so he can be full strength fot the start of regular season.

He has had a year off football. If he sits all preseason he simply won't be in game shape....will have to ease him into the regular season as well.
