Its 100% accurate too.

Best lines in the whole article...

Richardson is a former player held in high regard among his fellow owners around the league, but remember that he's the same guy who reportedly dismissed the likes of Drew Brees and Peyton Manning during the lockout negotiations by insulting their intelligence and asking them if they knew how to read the revenue chart. It seems ironic that an owner who doesn't trust the players to understand basic economics has entrusted his team to a general manager who doesn't seem to have a strong grasp on it, either

He makes some valid points, many that have been made here. I do disagree with him about Lafell though. The Delhomme deal alone probably should have caused him to be on a short leash.

Agree.

Then came the trades, the cuts, the extensions, etc.

Really really bad job by the FO.

So now other people believe it's a problem when Hurney BELIEVES IN PLAYERS JUST BECAUSE HE PERSONALLY LIKES THEM instead of making good business decisions to help you win games right now?

Doesn't Brandon Hogan STILL deserve to be on this team, much less drafted?

Thomas Davis would've been Hall of Fame material, if he could stay healthy, but he can't, so he should have AND WOULD HAVE been replaced a long time ago...if you cared more about the product you put on the field than how you PERSONALLY feel about the men you put on the field.

I'm sure Hurney would be great TO WORK FOR, but will you ever win consistently with him? No, like I've always said, because he holds on too long.

Heart over head...Buddies over business only gets you so far.

You know it's bad when there's even something on the ESPN.com main page calling your GM incompetent.

Granted I don't stop by there daily or anything but it seems pretty rare for them to call out any GM in such a way. Generally after a big loss all the heat falls on a teams quarterback or head coach. Articles on front office personnel seem pretty rare, especially one that's as critical as this.

    • I didn't move the goal posts. But anyone who follows football who wants to engage in a rational discussion can't argue that 10 7th round picks are equal to 10 1st rounders in value. The argument has always been we haven't spent as much on defense has we have on offense. Draft picks have value just like salary. We have not spent the same amount of draft pick salary cap on defense that we have on offense since drafting Bryce. It's not even close. Just the 2 1sts we used on Bryce, 2 overall 1sts have a value of 6000. That doesn’t even factor in DJ Moore or the 2 2nds. Bryce cost more than everything we've spent on defense in 6 damn years.
    • We need to hope this scenario plays our next week he fails with pressure…what that means with Evero, is beyond me
    • Woukd be a great addition You know the issues from my prespective, 2 things the Panthers must do 1. Edge or pass rushers or 2 oline or 3 oline or as Andy Reid says, when in doubt, draft a lineman it is time   That oline is troubling plus a small person at QB  they   1. Can do a lot better than mayes at center, 2. and lewis has had injuries all season. 3. Moton should not have  been resigned long term, 4. corbett is a shadow and will probably be released  5 and Christianson coming off Achilles   6 and the kicker, would be Ickey’s contract if they decide to keep him INMO rookie and contracts will be needed to offset all that
