Who will own the Panthers after Richardson?

This question is two-fold...

I feel like we're in good hands as long as JR is alive. That said, the man is aging. So my questions are as follows:

1) Who is likely to own the team after he passes in your prediction?

2) Is there a chance at that point the Panthers would be moved out of Carolina if team support does not improve (i.e. empty seats at stadium, already smaller market, etc.)

Discussions like this make you realize that every Sunday really is pivotal in getting this franchise on the right track as well as players like Cam Newton working out.

Team support is fine. We have sold out a ridiculous amount of games in a row. Sure, this is mostly due to PSLs but that's irrelevant.

i'm not worried about moving. when is the last time we had a blackout? is this team dependent on local gov't for survival like the vast majority of other teams who have to seek out tax money to pay for the stadium?

there is no incentive to leave. there are a lot smaller markets out there and a lot of teams who can't sell out games or just can't keep them from getting blacked out. those would be the ones that are more likely to be moved and even then very few of them ever are.

what happens to the team is just not something i worry about. i'm confident that jerry has a plan and much of that plan involves the team he built staying in the place he built it. in the carolinas there is no better place for it to be than in and around charlotte. i don't have to know what that plan is. i am just sure that very little will change when he's gone. i mean hurney might get the axe or whatever, but the team won't move. it will still be the carolina panthers and they will still play in charlotte.

      Brother. You are wholly confusing comparing situations and applying actual standards like most other franchises do like simply getting into a playoff series and winning at least 1 or 2 series games with praising. Nobody is praising the Hawks. Nobody is praising the Magic. Nobody here likes those teams. But reality is reality. The Hawks like other franchises have traded players fired coaches etc but they can still win a couple playoff games. How is that not the bare floor for you or anyone else? What are we doing here if it isn't? We've seen eye to eye on many things over the years. But you are in the camp on the Hornets where you are emotionally attached to LaMelo where you feel the need to carry his water like he's got that juice. That's cool that you feel that way. It's your prerogative. But I differ from that viewpoint entirely. If he had that juice we would not have gotten wiped off the court in 2 play in games with 2 different coaching staffs and rosters. if people don't like hearing that well I'm sorry but how the hell is this team ever going to get better and ultimately go anywhere in the postseason if we just blindly pat them on the back for getting their asses whooped before they actually even get into the real playoffs? There seem to be some Bryce Young level standards being applied here. That's wild to me. But to each his own.

      Proctor/Freeling were always the belles of the ball where we were picking. What those two *could* become at OT was far greater than what others could be at their respective positions and I’m glad our FO could see that.
